The whole healing thing at zero G blew my mind, I never realized that was a thing.

Also, deceleration causing a huge catastrophe is another really cool event that would never be possible in another pieces of media. They always find really interesting story developments that revolve around the science.
It really was well done. Though it makes me wonder why they don't have localized gravity rooms made using Centrifugal force. Something like a room in the center of the ship whose purpose is specifically to spin and form a localized pocket of gravity specifically for bleeding injuries.

It would be a really good thing to have, especially for MedBays

But the ships are designed around levels being perpendicular to thrust. A centrifugal force medbay would only work if a ship wasn't accelerating

But, but this would be mainly for those period of when they aren't accelerating. It would be really helpful for something like this, or even stealth operations where they can't be accelerating all the time.

The other ships are too small for having centrifugal gravity. The Behemoth can fit 4 Donnager class ships inside it and still have room. It's why we haven't bothered with it in our space station.

Behemoth needed centrifugal gravity because it had to travel far far away and as such if it didn't have spin gravity it could have spent years with no acceleration. The other ships have the luxury of having most of their travel time be under acceleration as the distance is not that large compared to the distance the Behemoth was designed to travel.

I wondered the same thing. Human sized centrifuges at least.
The issue is that you need a pretty high rotational speed if your centrifuge diameter is small. For 1/3 g and a centrifuge diameter of 10 m, for example, you'd need ~7.7 rpm or a rotation roughly every eight seconds. Additionally, a small centrifuge diameter would give you all sorts of unwanted consequences, because standing up, your head would be significantly closer to the centre than your feet; gravity would feel very weird.

All of this. Space Time (a fantastic series) does a nice overview of Sci-Fi artificial gravity.

You can make the case that chambers specifically created for wound recovery would make sense, but that would still require a bigger ship. Then allocating such a large space to a specific need seems like a stretch. That type of wound without acceleration based pseudo-gravity would suggest a mass casualty situation so a small recovery centrifuge wouldn't do much.

I really appreciated the last episode for diving into that so often. Really kicked the whole show up a notch in my tier list.

A human sized gravity recovery pod would work if you were strapped in to the wall and it spun on that side.

Kind of like the space ship 3000 carnival ride, but shrunk down

My guide says the final two episodes are 45 min each. I wonder if they are airing them without commercials? Will probably record extra buffer time in case my guide is just wrong.

Double-episode season finale tonight:
Congregation

As survivors arrive to the Behemoth, two factions form over how to handle a life-or-death threat. Holden grapples with what he's seen and the choices he must make.

Abaddon's Gate

Holden and his allies must stop Ashford and his team from destroying the Ring, and perhaps all of humanity.

That's an awesome season finale point. Damn, it's great that we'll get to see what's next now, a lot of shows would end here.

Great finale. This was the best show on TV imo. I guess next it will be the best show on Amazon. Now we wait...

Pretty good ending. Would have sucked if that was it, but you could tell they were preparing for it to be the end.

Glad about Drummer, cause they were close.
the Bull moment, giving his "presents" to the suited up belters

Still felt a little rushed, I'd have liked another episode, maybe create more of a warring factions, fighting on stopping/using the laser. Also rushed on Melba, as there really wasn't any conversation between her and the Rock crew, nor really any discussion on the fact she started the whole mess with her frame job of Holden. Not a lot of epilogue, just a montage.

I feel like there was a large missing scene around the 22m mark. First Melba gets put in prison with Holdon, then 30 seconds later Holden is in the elevator with Naomi and the captain. Did my DVR screw up?

When they told Bobbi to take off the armor, he was right next to her and the exact same height. Nice foreshadowing.

Anyway, that was very satisfying. I'm down for any more Amos/Anna pairing they want to do.

And I guess Bobbi's not getting reinstated another time.

That was so good and satisfying - very rare for a finale nowadays!

So glad amazon picked it up - though the wait for season 4 is going to be excruciating!
