Safe bet: Dishonoured 2

Outside chance: GTA V.

GTA V will definitely be the main third party game to launch the paid online service imo. I expect Diablo 3 to launch around the same time too.

With MK8D, Splatoon 2, ARMS, DOOM, Minecraft and Fortnite then Pokemon and Smash later in the year there will be many reasons to purchase the online sub for.

Didn't Tantalus also do the Rime port? I'm sure they've done other stuff since 2016.

It is weird though that Tantalus hasn't been doing more. Before the Switch launched they talked about getting a lot of requests for Switch ports, and even asked for fan requests for games they wanted to see ported. And all they've done are a couple small games. I could see them working on something big like MPT, yeah.

Anyway they aren't Panic Button, I still think Panic Button is working on a big online game like Rocket League to launch with Nintendo's online service in September. No idea what it would be though.

Tantalus has been bizarrely MIA. They did Sonic Mania and RiME on Switch but those have been out for 6 months plus. I assume they're busy with the DLC/Plus expansion for Mania but other than that they've not announced anything for Switch. These are the same folks who were given AAA ports for Wii U with Mass Effect 3, Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut, and out of nowhere by Nintendo themselves with The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD.

What happened? Panic Button literally pulled back the football at the last second, sent them into orbit, and ate their lunches to boot on Switch. Did something happen to Tantalus that just made them be left in the dust like that, only being given more or less indie projects?

I'm guessing maybe Prey? And the DLC will come slightly delayed to the Switch.
Or it could be the new Wolfenstein 2 spinoff

I think it is a Bethesda game right? HAs it been confirmed?

I would love Fallout 3 but only if it is remastered in some way, if not give me an Arkane game! Dishonored or Prey.

Ideally I'd love to see F3 and FNV ported with all the Creation Engine enhancements of Skyrim SE. I hope someone does it, but I bet it's a hell of a lot of work.

It doesn't have to be a Bethesda game. Their 3 Switch games so far (correct me if I'm wrong) have been DOOM, Wolf2 and Rocket League. 2/3 are Bethesda but it's not like that's all they've ever done.

Let me bullet-point for clarity:
  • My haphazard guess for Panic Button's next port is Rage 2.
  • I would have guessed Fallout 4, but where Iron Galaxy did the Skyrim port, I feel like they would return to them for games any other BGS games.

I'd love it if it were The Evil Within 1/2/Collection. I feel like it gets overlooked a bit in terms of possible Bethesda ports that could come to Switch.

Whichever Bethesda game runs on 60 on base consoles. I don't see Prey happening personally.

Prey would be my preference. Rage 2 looks fun as well but I suspect its wolfenstein Young Blood.

They can release more than one game a year, and Rage 2 is a June 2019 game, whereas DOOM Eternal is probably late 2019.
What they announce in July is probably coming late 2018. That's my hunch at least. At E3 2017 they announced a November 2017 title, and in September 2017 they announced another late 2017 title and Wolfenstein.

YEP. It wouldn't fit Panic Button's MO. Doom Eternal is coming like what? A year or 2 away? Panic Button is working on a title NOW so its likely not Doom Eternal. Prey, Metroid Prime Trilogy, Metro Exodus, or a game that's so graphically up there that no one would expect to make the jump such as Fallout 76. The developer was alluding to something surprising. Fallout would complete Panic Button's Bethesda FPS trilogy for Switch.

It's going to be DOOM Eternal and I expect they'll announce it at quakeconn. They've already said they're getting so good at porting that they're trying to release day and date with other consoles. Since they would have been heavily involved from the beginning it'll probably be this one that comes close to the same release.

I agree that Doom Eternal could be the accounment just based off what I read here today
