Can ganguro fashion make a big comeback? I miss my childhood in the 90's seeing these girls just loitering around Shibuya when school was out (sometimes even during school LOL). But the fashion died out, with just smaller pockets and splinter fashions (gyaru which is a big 'ol subculture umbrella term now/kogal) remaining. The 109 just isn't the same. :(

Isn't Gal just Ganguro but not as extreme?

Yeah exactly that. It looks really feminine to me for some reason, I cant fuck with it. Same with skinny jeans but thats old news nowadays
I'd like it if it were feminine, this just looks dorky to me

So I guess this is mine as well

Having one side of your hair long and the other side buzzed is THE ugliest to me.

I know nothing about fashion but I can't stand that haircut.

Oh no you DIDNT

Nowadays Ganguro is considered a splinter of gyaru/gal subculture as a whole. There are still people who do ganguro in specific, a very slight minority. Gyaru/Gal in general can refer to many western inspired fashion styles though like: hime gyaru, banba, jk, ane gyaru, yanki, kogal, etc..

I wouldn't label gal fashion as a less-extreme ganguro personally, because it encompasses a lot of different substyles these days. Someone I know runs a fashion boutique in Shibuya, most of her customers will identify as gyaru but to actually look at them you would rarely make the leap to Ganguro.

Ripped jeans have made a comeback. The extreme ones are just dumb for the price. Like come on, just buy a cheap pair of jeans and cut holes in them yourself, you don't need to spend hundreds of dollars for this

Not a fan of the men capri style

Fan of the athleisure trend and slim fit trend. Wish the pants sometimes came with a slightly roomier thighs.

Under your bed
Flannel is super neat.
I love skinny jeans.
Chokers have made a comeback now and that makes me really happy.
Wrapping your hoodie/jacket around your waist when you're not using it is a trend that I also grew fond of.

There aren't many fashion choices that I dislike, much less outright loathe. The only fashion trend I really disliked was saggy pants, and that's a lot less common now than it was 5 years ago.

I really hate this "super-tight ponytail + waist-high pants" look that a lot of the women in my neighborhood are going for. Seems to be especially popular in the latin community. Did Ariana Grande start this? I don't even know.

I'm glad man-buns seem to be over with though.

High-waist jeans are awesome. They look especially amazing in curvier women. I really don't want to low jeans to come back, even though they seemingly are.

I especially hate this trend of ruined clothes (even though I'm not against ripped jeans). But I find mildly amusing that people are paying hundreds of dollars in a t-shirt that looks like this:

Are rompers still a thing? Maybe that was last year. But rompers. If you don't have an ass or have a very prominent foopa, you look like a baby.

These kinds of threads are always hilarious.
It should be compulsory to post a pic of your outfit for every poster haha

Fuck those ripped jeans
Fuck you too buddy

I don't mean this seriously
ripped jeans are good and pure though, don't hate on them just because you can't pull them off

It's very common in Italy. Fuck this.

ITT: People who wouldn't recognize good fashion if it hit them in the face. That look is fresh as fuck fam

Every pic would be 10 year old ate up Nikes, boot cut jeans, and the same video game shirt that is 3 sizes too big that they proudly have worn since high school.

Don't forget the people wearing shirts two sizes too small because they think it makes them look good

It's ridiculous , especially during winter season when you see those little ankles exposed to cold weather without socks.

Urban techwear because it leads to people risking their lives to take fit pics to post with the acronym hashtag on instagram

I just love this photo and I'll protect it LOL

Actually, I wish more cyberpunk-y/futuristic fashion was normalized enough to be worn on a daily basis but waaaay more fitted. Usually when they trend they are exclusively street fashion and very baggy/asymmetric.

I could never, ever fuck with ripped jeans.
