Also interested in how is the state of Mantis Burn, as it's discounted

I have just tried it post patch and I feel like the loading was sped up but it still takes too long to load a course. The performance is super solid.

The game itself is super stale though. I wanted a spiritual sequel to motorstorm rc but it just lacks any character. I wouldn't pay full price but you might get something out of it if it's on sale

Thanks for the feedback... I guess I can still wait for a deeper discount...

Thanks; last question: is this version of the game Obnoxious with the gacha stuff?
Every version is if you play FUT. If you don't do ultimate team you won't ever see that stuff.

That said I have slowly grinded out several tournaments and FUT seasons without worrying about the gotcha. There has definitely been enough to do with just the points and random crap I've won. I kind of like the normal season modes better.

Swapping SD cards isn't really my style. I prefer to have everything installed at all times. Otherwise I wouldn't need the extra space already.

Sandisk's 400GB card is a more viable option. My main concern there is that 1TB cards might not be ready yet by the time I'm filling that up (521GB is only just starting to become a thing, after all), and I'll end up spending a lot more money going 400GB -> 512GB -> 1TB. Not really sure how legitimate a concern this is, since I'm not 100% sure of the schedule these things are developed on, but my experience of using the 256GB card while waiting for 512GB ones hasn't exactly been encouraging.

I'm in the same boat and have started archiving a few games I've beat and a couple sequels to games i haven't played. Most of the bigger games are the ones I want on the system to play when friends come by or when I'm travelling. Redownloading isn't an option in those scenarios.

If they ever put out GTA V or another massive game I want I'll be forced to upgrade the SD card.

Let me know if you go with the 512, and how it works for ya.

Quite tempted by Gear Club Unlimited (currently at 1799 RUB / 24 EUR).
Even though the reviews are not particularly glowing, it seems solid/fun enough, and still is the only game of its genre on the system...

Saw Outlast on sale for 33% off and ordered it despite my backlog. I need help :-(

On the bright side, I am playing West of Loathing and it is a really really fun game, catering to both my RPG side (light RPG) and my Point and Click adventure game side. Highly recommended, and at $11 really no need to wait for a sale that will take a few dollars off, it is more than worth the price.

Is OUTLAST 2 a good port (portable)?
The first one was an embellished hide-n-seek game, is this one the same?
More like tag. Hiding is sometimes essential but it's more running from new horror instead of hiding from the horror and sneaking around them. Sometimes you'll need to hide though. I don't own it on the Switch, so I can't comment on the performance.

I think new modes and features have since been added to the game since launch, and more are coming--all free.

I've ended up deciding to go with the Sandisk 400GB one. While this might mean I eventually end up getting a 512GB card at some point while waiting for 1TB ones, I have some concerns about speed for the PNY card. The Sandisk card has a higher rated sequential read speed, and, unlike the PNY card, it has the A1 mark on it (side note: there are way to many little icons that can appear on SD cards which mean sometimes overlapping things) which means it's random read/write speeds should be at least somewhat decent.

They have a 10 year warranty. Keep your receipts ;)

From an Amazon review:

Out of 100 plus SD cards I have purchased from Sandisk I have only had one fail. With Sandisk's 10 year warranty they replaced it and sent me a new one at no charge. That is the advantage when you purchase high tech from a top company that stands behind their product.

Anyone know what's up with Bomb Chicken? Went to pre-purchase it and it's gone from Nintendo's website. Also read somewhere that has it listed as July 12th now instead of next week. Any idea?

So how long do we think until Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 goes on sale? I want it on Switch but it's on sale on Steam right now. Not a huge discount but one none the less.

Considering how often Capcom games go, let alone the Mega Man games, give it a few months. I've seen it go on sale on Xbox Live & PSN, so I'm sure it'll be on sale on Switch soon enough.

I'm thinking about picking up an RPG that's on sale, but I can't decide between Earthlock and Lost Sphere. I didn't hate I Am Setsuna, but I didn't think it was great either. Anyone have a good suggestion?

I've had a Switch since November and had no idea you could play any game with a Game Cube controller via the GC Adapter until this very minute.

What the hell. I have those things!

Weird they don't just support Wii controllers as well. Classic Controller support would be nice, especially since the Classic Mini consoles use them.

I realised on the preorder page the dates now say "Planned to be released on...." to avoid any Dark Souls mishaps.

I guess this means that Wavebirds would work too. I have a couple of those. Maybe I should invest in the adaptor.

Lost Sphear is a very solid and enjoyable JRPG, boasting a nice soundtrack and great combat system. Don't judge it from the terrible US/EU demo, which incomprehensibly differs from the JP one and drops you in the middle of a boring, verbose and slow segment of the game. It really isn't representative of the overall experience.

Maybe wait and see what impressions are of Moto GP next week.
I don't know much about Moto GP, but I'll keep an eye on it. Thanks, Shibata100.

You're right, but, from I've read since my last post, it seems like the free mobile game still offers more environments and features than the premium Switch version. Quite disappointing, to say the least.

I really don't understand why there's no GT/Forza/Sega GT clone on Nintendo systems, apart from MTO's efforts of old. There indisputably is an opportunity, a niche to fill and exploit here.

The Japanese demo gives access to the first hour or so, and was good enough to make me preorder the game, back in September.

Lost Sphear is more complex, diverse, refined and ambitious than its predecessor. Still a long way from recent references such as DraQue XI or Alliance Alive, but enjoyable nonetheless.

Does the switch have any action rpg? (other than skyrim)
Ys VIII is literally out this week :D

Xenoblade is a menu-based action RPG series.

thanks! so you'd put Alliance Alive above it even? I've seen some more praise for AA than its direct predecessor (Legend of Legacy) but overall the response was muted when it came out (and it sucks they cheaped out on a retail version for PAL land)
