Play the challenges or online and you will be amazed with some of the extra songs you can unlock.
This game is really a cool gem.

I've just had my first couple of games online which were great fun, and yeah sure enough I thought I played a level/heard a song I hadn't heard during the main game. I'll be for sure playing it online loads, it's nice to see three other people playing it alongside you.

So is 'Minecraft Nintendo Switch Edition' the first delisted Switch eShop game? It's been made redundant by the release of the Bedrock Edition and is no longer available for purchase.

Coming to the Switch eShop next week -- Cubikolor. Pretty neat puzzle game that may fly under the radar. I think those that enjoyed Death Squared may find Cubikolor entertaining.

Unless some games get pushed into July, there could be as many as 21 games releasing next week on the Switch eShop.

I forgot that Another World was targeting next week too.

This is getting ridiculous. Why do I not feel like it was ever this bad on other systems. Steam yes, but I don't feel like Psn or Xbox had these kinds of releases every week. It is overwhelming and I don't feel like the majority of these smaller devs are equipped to reach the community.

why would anyone complain that many games are releasing on a platform?
You should complain when all you see in the store is littered with avatars and background.

Uh it wasn't a complaint, it was a statement of surprise and disbelief. I never put a negative connotation on it. Stop reading in to shit that ain't there.

Also even if I was complaining what's it to you. It's a message board. Might just be someone venting frustration.

I do hate that they just allow apparent shovelware (mobile game ports, that jurassic pinball game, that flying bicycle game) and poorly coded, buggy games (WWE).

I do not agree with your sentiment on Mobile game ports, there are a lot of great mobile games and a good game is good regardless of where it started.

I do agree that some more gate keeping would be nice, but in all honesty they can manage that by making the store better with more filtering and surfacing of things based on machine learning etc. (doubt we'll see that last one), as for buggy games, cert only guarantees game doesn't break the console. Sadly WWE sucks(ed) everywhere and has for a long time.

I thought the Switch had content issues tho

It's been a very long time and I admit I am yet to do the homework myself, but re the Minecraft Better Together/Bedrock update:

I had hoped the Switch update would make 'hop-in hop-out' multiplayer easy with other devices (eg iOS/Android just lets you find players on the same wifi network with those randomised but oddly charming usernames like "toughbutterfly57") but that doesn't seem to be the case at first.

I have Minecraft iOS, on an iPad, and an iPhone. The iOS edition has long been the favourite in our household, but again I haven't been following the update history.

Add the Switch version and the Windows 10 Microsoft Store version I'll probably end up getting, and that's going to be four separate accounts I have to set up with Xbox Live/Microsoft right?

I'm fine with this but it's just going to be a tall order at first. I want to avoid tears and tantrums and fights!

I'm not too familiar with Minecraft but I was under the impression that you could link your microsoft account to all versions if you wanted to. Do you really need four separate accounts?

So, does anyone have any notable recent experiences with PNY SD cards? My 256GB microSD card in my Switch is filling up and they seem to be the only major brand with a 512 GB card available in that form factor (specifically this one). I think I may have used an SD card from them for my Wii ages ago, but that was before I put as much attention towards this sort of thing. They seem to have a decent enough reputation, but that's a lot of money to put down on a brand I'm not 100% sure on.

why not just buy another 256 for a third of that and just swap cards. And No it isn't worth $300 for a 512, when a 400 is 40% cheaper for less than 25% smaller size. PNY is an okay brand, but no not for so much money.

Swapping SD cards isn't really my style. I prefer to have everything installed at all times. Otherwise I wouldn't need the extra space already.

Sandisk's 400GB card is a more viable option. My main concern there is that 1TB cards might not be ready yet by the time I'm filling that up (521GB is only just starting to become a thing, after all), and I'll end up spending a lot more money going 400GB -> 512GB -> 1TB. Not really sure how legitimate a concern this is, since I'm not 100% sure of the schedule these things are developed on, but my experience of using the 256GB card while waiting for 512GB ones hasn't exactly been encouraging.

Do you really need all of your games installed at once? Just archive ones you haven't played for a while and download them again when you want to seems like a better option.

I'm looking to buy Blossom Tales or Kamiko, which one would you recommend?
Blossom Tales is a really nice Zelda-like. If you grew up playing either Link's Awakening or LttP, it's a nice stop gap until Nintendo figures out what they're doing with Virtual Console and/or 2D Zelda games.

The game lacks original ideas though; it skirts the line between "inspired by" and "carbon copy" quite often, but is fun nonetheless.

Also has a really sweet narrative framing device taken right from the Princess Bride.

Kamiko is a little game you'll clear in a couple of hours; it's very short. That said, for the price at the time (£3 or something ridiculous) it was fine. I think Blossom Tale has much more to it like SNES Zelda, but I've not played it so couldn't say for sure.

If you like A Link to the Past and wouldn't mind playing a game heavily based on it with its own twist then yeah, Blossom Tales is well worth it.

Cool. There's even a very famous secret song that is super hard about a certain game that i wasn't really expecting. xD

I love the story mode but also think that online makes the game different since you can't only pay attention to yourself but also sometimes have to risk going to the middle of the action just to save a fellow gamer.

Both are good but Blossom Tales easily. It's verrrrrry similar to zelda lttp. Kamikaze is fun but very short like 2-4 hours. Blossom Tales is 10-12 hours and just way more fleshed out. Cool music, cute bright graphics, zelda gameplay and dungeons/overworld. The game is as a total shock to me and i really hope it gets a meatier sequel i want more!

I just thought about Space Invaders Extreme on PSP. That was pretty cool. Should get a re-release! Although maybe it's on PSN so would work on Vita, at least.

did they ever fix the framerate for overcooked? quick google search says it's still not 60fps.

It's fixed so it's more stable around 30 fps. 60 fps has never been promised for the Switch version AFAIK.

I do hate that they just allow apparent shovelware (mobile game ports, that jurassic pinball game, that flying bicycle game) and poorly coded, buggy games (WWE).

Why are mobile ports "apparent shovelware"? There seems to be a big interest in titles like Framed Collection, Gorogoa or Old Man's Tale.

And FWIW, more than 750 games have been released after that flying bicycle game released 15 months ago. :-)

This is getting ridiculous. Why do I not feel like it was ever this bad on other systems. Steam yes, but I don't feel like Psn or Xbox had these kinds of releases every week. It is overwhelming and I don't feel like the majority of these smaller devs are equipped to reach the community.

Late November/early December 2017 (until Christmas) was just as crowded on the eShop. But back then, the crowd was almost only eShop-only titles. Now it's a mix of retail and eShop titles.

Flashback is one of those games where I recognise the name, box art and even a couple of gifs from it, but know nothing about it beyond that.

Is it worth playing in 2018 outside of nostalgia? It looks cool as fuck but at £17 I'd like it to be actually worth playing.
