Thanks. So even using my physical copy of the base game and dlc, I would need to use the dlc disc?
I would like to know this as well. Hoping it gets the full One X enhancement soon.
I played just the opening boss and a bit after just to see how it looked and it looked really nice, just a bit cleaner in upres 4K with 16x texture filtering.
Been mainly playing Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance which looks incredibly clean and runs at a constant full 60 fps, it looks and plays wonderful. When I booted Ninja Gaiden Black, even the original Xbox boot in 4K blew me away. I never even really noticed the little mechanical hands near the bottom of the screen on my OG Xbox, now it's incredibly clear.
This is exactly how I have to do it to play mine. I bought the ultimate edition disks and it definitely requires disc 2 in the system to play the DLC. I've thought about buying the game digitally too but since I need the dlc disk in to play it I decided not to.
Same on Panzer Dragoon Orta, Shenmue 2, and Otogi 1 & 2, those are all fantastic pics. Others that would be cool would be, Burnout 3, Outrun 2006: Coast to Coast, Crazy Taxi 3.
I had a post earlier about Metal Wolf Chaos (I know Devolver said once they were wanting to re-publish it if they could) and Double STEAL: The Second Clash, two games that would be incredible on the X. I already own both these games so if Microsoft gave me the ability to play these imports one day I would be ecstatic.
Ideally, yeah, they'd just pack them in for free. I'm guessing there's a technical reason they couldn't be properly listed on the store, as they never were on 360, but since the original Xbox marketplace is gone, it's not like publishers have to worry about lost revenue from including DLC for free. Plus, releasing games like Halo 2 without any DLC would be kinda nuts.
I was thinking about this and at first started to doubt it... But then started to think about all the random games that have shown up on Xbox 360 backwards compatibility. I would love to see the kingdom under fire games come to Xbox BC program. These games were exclusive to the console, unique takes that mixed Dynasty Warriors combat with more strategy and tactics and I would love the ability to play then again without the need to plug in my og Xbox
Any word on the next set of OG Xbox games that are coming? Like everyone else, Panzer Dragoon Orta tops my wish list.
As far as 360 games are concerned, hopefully we get Crackdown and Vanquish soon. Also more XBLA games like Fez and PB Winterbottom... oh and Catan!

It's full of licensed music like you said. Seems extremely unlikely.

I'm so damn salty the best Naruto game still isn't up and it's legit an Xbox 360 exclusive. Ubisoft did an amazing job with this one.

The tracks that I speculate are creating the true hurdle must be the multiple Count Latchula (a Beastie Boys collaboration) tracks that were off of Grand Royal Records which no longer exists and the rights to all of Grand Royal's catalogue are owned by a bunch of fans that created GR2 Records which doesn't seem to have been active recently at all.

I think I'm going to be disappointed until next year, cause I mainly want more OG Xbox games lol.
I'm wondering if Microsoft will eventually make it so every new backwards compatible game will have an XB1X patch. That'd be awesome.
What I wish they did was release an App called "Backward Compatibility Labs" Where you could load up any non-supported game in several generic 360 emulator profiles (with everything official whitelisted so it forces you to go official when it can).

I've been playing Dark Souls with a friend in co op. Other than Blight Town it runs great. Hard to tell without a side by side comparison but i do think Blight Town runs better in general, the framerate only tends to shit the bed a little when looking down from way up high at the entire area and the hill that leads up to the boss. I've made peace with the fact that this particular bit of Dark Souls is just terribly optimised and even throwing the brute force of the X1X at it doesn't totally fix it. I wonder how it runs on PC, is there a stupidly high spec PC that will run it flawlessly i wonder?
This would be nice. There is also a Kingdom under fire (Circle of Doom) game for 360 that would be nice to have on the BC program.

Yes! More people need to play this game and discover that between it and the Otogi games, FromSoftware had some amazing titles on the OG Xbox.

I sometimes question the announcements. While I am glad we are getting new games, did anyone here wish for Cars to work on Xbox one? Or even Jewel Quest?
Dont they have a list of Top Xbox request games by fans?
I am not an engineer, but I believe some of these choices are simply for the fact that they are easy to emulate and little work had to be done with them.
