Google Podcasts app is live. Which is just a shortcut to the podcasts part of the Google app, but still. Apparently it was pretty bad before, but now it seems decent. Lacks many features of something like Pocket Casts though.
I write with my left but do pretty much everything else with my right. I hold my phone in my left. WHAT DOES IT MEAN.

Love the color scheme on this thing with only the edges having a bit of color, looks really cool.
My only questions about that retractable camera is what happens if a bit of skin gets in there (does it pinch you or does it extend back when it feels resistance?), and if it's possible for dust/gunk to get in the gaps and clog it up.
The Pixel 3XL looks so outdated compared to these new Chinese phones. Even compared to some other phones with notches it looks trash.

Curious if there will be any official cases... and how would that work? Because glass back phone = slippery, and this phone uniquely has all its goods in 1 sliding basket. You definitely don't want to drop the phone by accident when taking a picture.

I love the stylus. I use it all the time for writing memos/ random thoughts, taking notes, drawing diagrams, taking cropped screenshots, selecting text easily or just browsing. Because of this (and the general great quality of the Note8 of course) , I don't see myself going for any phone other than a Note...
Currently downloading the June patch on my S8+ on AT&T. This has been way better than I expected for security updates.

I upgraded from Anroid 4.1 to 8.0 ..yay but I'm pretty annoyed. In any app that allowed you to set custom notification sounds that setting is completely gone. Not a popular feature I guess, but I found it useful for some stuff. Upgrading and losing features sucks.

It changes ONE part of the phone (the camera) while also downgrading on stuff like waterproofing and still being one of the most expensive phones you can buy.

On my 8.0 Moto Z Play if I go to Apps & notifications > App info > Select an app > App notifications, I can app whatever notification sound I want. There's even an "add ringtone" button at the bottom of the list to add a custom one.
You're right it changed from being in the app to the system settings. Custom notifications for gmail labels are definitely gone though.
