I know, how crazy right? The US gov't abandoned a whole island of it's citizens, literally left them to die after a natural disaster? I don't think so! Why surely the media would be reporting about that non-stop and... Oh! A celeb said something racist?!?!?! People, please do not lose hope! Don't pick up the current trend of political apathy. We all have the power of a vote and it's ability to place representatives in office who can bring about real progressive change. Encourage others to vote, but more importantly make sure you hit the ballot box come midterms. I know I'll be voting for representative Ben o'Rourke right here in Texas, and I feel confident that he will beat out incumbent Senator Ted Cruz. I feel strongly that the people of TX will get behind him. The treatment of these individuals will become a rallying cry.

Because for the vast majority of gun nuts, it's not about a tyrannical government, it was that a black man was elected.
Crap like this is America. It's the true face of the country. It's something that's always been there in the background, but swept under the rug (out of sight, out of mind essentially). The only difference is that someone was elected who doesn't give a shit and removed the rug.

I'm saying that if the 2nd amendment had any value, it would at the bare minimum allow citizens to stop the government from stealing and jailing children.

Different camps for different genders, can't have mixed boys/girls in internment camps on American soil. And yes, that means siblings are pulled apart, too.
I thought they were mothers in the process of being separated from their children.
Reading the article though, it seems it's teen girl prisoners taking care of the babies and toddlers because no one else is.
I like to think these people can't sleep at night, so the banner lets them have a nap during the day

If Congress doesn't move on this and quickly we as Americans have a duty to end this even if it's by illegal means, if we don't we are a nation of worthless fucking cowards.
I will be in Austin for business in about a month. If this is still going on and anyone in Texas-era knows of any group planning on doing anything more effective than sign wagging in front of a useless media please dm me.

What about young babies? Are they allowed to remain with their mothers, or are they taken also? What's the cut-off point?

So not only are seemingly very young children - toddlers - being removed from parents, it seems there is no adult care looking after them.
Those poor poor children. I hope they have some recourse in the future, to be compensated for the trauma they're being put through.
