Despite the terrible title and that fact that Bill Clinton (!) is listed as a co-writer, this is getting pretty good reviews. Seems like a no-brainer for a writer like Patterson to team with an actual insider to create an authentic experience.

I combed through the last few "What are you reading" threads and couldn't find any mentions so I thought i'd ask the question directly.

I thought the title of the OP was breaking news.

I rarely get to see clickbait thread titles before a mod fixes them and the OP gets scolded, so I said "Holy shit, do what now? He's missing?!" and clicked on the thread. I got got.

I mean I knew it was bait, but expected the title to be a reference to a funny new occurence related to Trump or something.

Title needs a change before any discussion can be had.

I haven't read a Patterson book in a long time, his stuff is pretty formulatic with the odd step out here and there, but okay for a quick breezy read.

I didn't want to check the thread because I knew it wasn't about the ass-fuck face in office, but a small piece of me had hoped it was true so I didn't want that small piece to fall away, but I just had to look in the box.

It's okay OP. I knew this was about the book as soon as I saw the thread title.

Anyway, no I haven't read it yet. My 'to read' list' is huge, but judging by the very mixed reviews, I'm not sure if it'll be worth my time.

I've seen the book at a book store a couple of times. Forgot it was called that. But I'm not interested in American politics so I've never bothered.

To the OP's credit that book name is bait period. When I saw it for the first time I thought it might've been a non-fictional book covering the state of the presidency, or something like that.

Sorry brehs, thought the title case would give it away.

Definitely a legit thread! This has been all over my kindle recs and thought it might be big enough for people here to have gotten into.
