Virginia says hi. (Unless you chalk this all up to the incredible charisma of DOCTOR ralphnortham)

I didn't say it was impossible I'm.saying outside of being anti-Trump I don't know what the platform is. I'm unsure if just being anti-Trump will be enough for Dems to win both houses. One can only hope.

In 2014 the Republican platform was "Not Obama" and in 2016 it was "not Hilary". They had repeal Obamacare too, but it was mainly just opposition and it worked.

Republicans are great at stuff like that. The Dems not so much. I remember when it came to the healthcare repeal they couldn't even settle on a name to call the Republican plan. I don't think they do a great job with messaging.

Bingo. The rest of the media needs to unite and say it's completely without any basis in truth and the president has lied again.
They absolutely should, every day, and it's shameful they don't, but it wouldn't matter because Trump's voters ignore the rest of the media.

America's problem is that there are no repercussions for broadcasting lies and propaganda.

In any other western country, Fox News would have lost its license long ago.

Having a weak national platform is partially deliberate, partially the result of the Dem's bottom-up structure. There are 36 Governor's races. It lets local candidates run local campaigns that aren't tied to a national platform based on unpopular figures.

The top-down Contract With America/Tea Party astroturfing you see on the GOP side just isn't possible with how the Dems are structured, because GOP institutions and donors have far more direct control on messaging/media (HI Fox News) than on the left half of the spectrum. (I suspect for kids raised on Fox News who broke out, this comes as culture shock.)

Fuck this goddamn man and his entire adminstration a million times over. He's literally the reason kids are being ripped apart from their families.

LIE. LIE. IT IS THE TERM TO USE. LIE. LIE. LIE.

Media too fucking cowardly to use a word other than "falsehood" to describe this garbage, toxic waste of a life.

Congress too fucking cowardly to stop him.

And we, the citizens, are too scared of losing our jobs, or getting banned, or whatever, to do anything other than hope a bunch of Democrats get elected and aren't corrupt and cowardly and will also be able to enact anything without getting blocked by a GOP-controlled Justice Department.

There's no way back from this.

I can't wrap my head around it. He doesn't want children to be seperated, but he can't stop it because of a democrat law. He can't repeal that law until he gets a deal that includes full wall funding, end catch&release etc. (aka everything he demands)

Until that happens he is completely innocent that children get seperated from their parents.

Is that somewhat close to what is happening?

Yeah that sounds pretty damn accurate.

EDIT: Except the part about the dems. This isn't their fault.

Kind of except what's happening is not a result of a Democrat law but of Trump's own new policy.

Wreaks of 1984. No wonder Trump wants to return to the new / alternate reality (i.e., dark timeline) 80s.

The 80s were already shit enough under Reagan with flamboyant, cringe-worthy white pop culture and egregious stereotypes, racism, and violence.

Thanks...yes, I know about that being a lie, but that it was he pretends, right?
Yes he's holding these children hostage unless Democrats give him everything he wants. He tried this with DACA too it just didn't work out because he got too greedy. I doubt it works here either.

DACA's still a mess but Dems didn't cave and despite what Trump wanted, people didn't blame the Dems.

I can't stand this administration's "zero tolerancy policy" in regards to the border, yet at the same time Trump is tied to so much shady--likely illegal--shit that his 'tough-on-crime' attitude is laughably offensive.

Fuck everyone in the administration, fucking everyone who voted them in, and fuck everyone who didn't vote.
ERA has been remarkably silent in regards to Trump supporters this week. I only saw one "But Hillary". They must be crushed after they thought they'd be able to rub NK into liberal faces and not only did that not really work out, now they have to stay silent or defend this racist agenda.

It's completely amazing how much power the Democrats have being the minority party and not in control of ANY branch of the government. I mean, just wow, how are they pulling this off. I guess you could say the Republicans are just that fucking inept at being forced to do things "they really don't like to do" even when holding all the power? Is that the message, is that really what you want us to go with GOP? That you are complete inept fucking morons? Ok then.

The GOP is really the party in disarray. Yes they won the elections, but internally they are a mess. The FC basically does to other Republicans what Trump is trying to do Democrats.

Oh he's tough on crime, just as long as it's not of the white-collar variety

I'm done stepping around what I really think. I want him to die. I don't want it to be violent, but I wish he'd drop dead right this instant. God fucking dammit do I hate this man with every single fiber of my being.
