I'm a big fan of McGregor whenever he's in the octagon as a fighter, but him putting up money reasons to duck legit contenders is pissing me off. I mean, it's his right to push for the best deal, but at some point you have to defend the title to maintain the integrity of the sport. I mean, technically he has more experience than most former wrestlers that move to MMA, and Bellator has a lot less talent.
I can see him actually doing well if he takes it seriously.
He was on the MMA Hour. He said the UFC called him a few hours after the event and told him they were not happy with Conor and that they were pulling him from that card.
I don't doubt they told him that but you have to presume they were bullshitting him to appease him.
He said he'll talk to his attorneys next Tuesday when he's back in the office to see what he can do. He said that if this had happened at the Mohegan Sun he'd suspend Conor until he came and talked about it with them and a fine and six months would be a likely outcome.
