Or people just want to give DC a hard time cuz that's the thing to do cuz everything they do is wrong, and everything Marvel does is Gold
Don't do that.
It's an annoying trend in movies. This is not even a Marvel DC complaint. This is the same problem people had with Kingsman and the revived character was one of the weakest parts of the sequel.

And people have definitely called out Marvel for relying on this trope.

And this is clearly going to be Tom Tresser aka Nemesis, secret agent master of disguise, and not the actual Steve Trevor.

I love The eighties aesthetic so this is great. I hope it seeps through every element like Thor: Ragnarok did with the synth 80s music vibe.

Ooh I love this. First becoming friends then become enemies.

Cheetah was definitely the best villain to go with this time. They really need to nail the special effects though. If it is an all CGI mess than the whole movie could be goofy. It would be great if it was a combination of practical makeup/costuming and CGI.

WW and Cheetah should start as FWBs, then Steve shows up and WW cuts off the sex, sending Cheetah into a homicidal rage.

I think people are ready to write the first movie as an anomaly
There is no way this sequel will be anywhere as decently received/reviewed as the first

Especially because the first did so well, there will be those quick to say how unimpressive anything comes out for this sequel

I would have said he's just going to be some ghost figure in Diana's consciousness but the outfit pretty much debunks that.

Hell, if this is cold war super spy Wonder Woman, maybe she gets pulled into this because "Hey wait a minute... He's supposed to be dead!"

Wait. So when Bruce is telling Diana to get over her dead boyfriend in Justice League. Did his 80's resurrection already happen?

Praying they don't pull another Enchantress.

Reminiscent of Rucka's WW Rebirth.

I've heard good things about his rendition. I should check it out.

It looks like they might be tackling the AIDS crisis

If they do it will be awesome. I love the 80's (before it was cool!!!!!! :v) but I'm getting kinda sick of the mindless glorification of 80's pop culture the recent media has done. Stranger Things was cool, It was even cooler since it took a book from the decade, but RPO... not so much.

It will be nice to see Diana interacting with the 80's world and its issues, though, I'm excited to see it. And the aesthetic looks awesome.

Maybe it is one of those scenes when someone see a person very similar to their lost loved one and think it's actually them for a second? (In this case it would be extremely trollish to release this photo though lol)

Wouldn't it just be a descendant? Just like in the 2nd season of the tv show? I don't see why this is such a big deal.

Grace called it. bravo

Just watched both videos. That 1984 research video she did was excellent. I can't believe she guessed this correctly!

Wonder Woman has been an LGBT icon for so many people for quite some time. This is going to mean a lot to so many fans. I'm happy they're going in this direction and I look forward to learning more. :)

If they go with Cheetah looking like this:

Then I can see practical effects being used. But if they go for a more beastly appearance like this:

Then they're gonna need CGI to sell it.

Agreed. I think though they are going to go with a more hybrid humanish Cheetah variation. Either way I'm excited because Minerva is a fascinating character even in the animated version.

Unless this is Flash timeline antics, there aren't too many places they can take bringing Pine back.

We know in Justice League and BvS that she's still beating herself over the bad shit that went down, and she still has her photo of her WW1 pals.

So Pine is probably dying again or going back to the afterlife or whatever by the end. And it'll prob be not too happy considering she supposedly disappears again?

Unless the Flash is involved and this is all just a trick to fuck with us.

Steve can't be alive, especially looking like he hasn't aged much in almost 70 years.

edit: Frozen in ice it is!

Under my Hela Hela
I mean the backlash is ridiculous. WW explicitly confirmed the Greek Gods exist, which means Hades is canon. Also, one of WW's biggest enemies is literally a witch. There's numerous ways Trevor can come back without it being contrived.

Ugh...."so his death was pointless?", every fucking time. No, it wasn't pointless, just like the deaths in IW won't be pointless when some of them come back. The characters still died, the survivors still felt the impact, they still fought the good fight and became heroes. Are we all really so cynical that we roll our eyes and bitch about characters we liked making a return? Especially in comic book movies with gods, mutants, witches, magical shit that rewinds time etc?
Why not whine about every action movie ever made? "Ugh, the good guy is just going to win, it's all pointless, he's not in any real danger!" Bloody insufferable.

When Spidey comes back, the fact that he begged for his life before dying in his surrogate father's arms won't suddenly cease to be a heartbreaking moment, Infinity War won't stop being entertaining and awesome. Get a grip peeps. The only issue really is it's an early reveal for his return.

She was mourning him in present day at the end of the first movie. So does that mean we get to see him die here yet again? If he doesn't, then why frame the scene that way?
