The documentary episode was hilarious but it just dragged a bit in the end.
I love the payoff of Titus' random gigs all being part of the documentary.

I was a little down on the show after Season 3, but holy crap Season 4 is such a return to form. Episode 3 is a gold mine, but I really loved the kids' play episode for the Titus performance.

Watched all the episodes. Unlike some I really liked Season 3 especially as it felt very Titus-centric. The first half of this season is okay but I didn't have as many laugh out loud moments as I did in some of the earlier seasons.

Episode 3 is tremendous though. As good as an episode they've done.

I enjoyed the season, but it's often hard to feel like the show isn't just 30 Rock Lite.

Having to wait 7 months for the ending is frustrating. Even Netflix seems to be slowly realizing that the "Dump all episodes at once" format isn't really helping their shows, so maybe it's still a good thing.

I've just got the season 2, I could binge watch this all day. It's legit funny. The episode where Mikey is trying to ask Titus out in front of his truck and he mentions having to have a painting of a hot chick on his truck, flips the tailgate up and there's a picture of Tilda Swinton.....that made me laugh so much.

The whole show is stuffed with clever little one liners and it's starting to do little call backs to previous episodes now too which is great.

Hopefully the quality can be maintained.

After American Vandal, a lot of Episode 3 feels redundant and played out. It's not the writers' fault as they could not have anticipated American Vandal, but it's hard to watch EP3 and feel like its premise hasn't been done better elsewhere.

I mean, wasn't the whole point of ep3 making fun of all those netflix documentaries?

American Vandal is not a Netflix documentary. It's a scripted comedy that is wholly dedicated to parodying Netflix crime documentaries. It does a much deeper dive into satirizing the style and conventions of a crime documentary than UKS EP3 does. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone that hasn't watched it, though.

This season is pretty good. I'm enjoying it more than season 3 at least. Although having to wait until January for the second half isn't great,

I've really liked the season (I thought it was better than season 3 for definite, maybe better than the second too), but only six episodes!? I knew it was split in two but I thought surely there'd be more than that. The season was just picking up momentum for me and it feels like it's ended way too soon, especially when it's as good as it is. I would prefer a weekly format than seasons being cut in half like this.

I agree post-American Vandal episode 3 doesn't have the same impact it probably would without the existence of American Vandal, but I still really enjoyed it. I feel it's impossible for a single episode of the show to ever really match the quality or depth of satirisation which was reached by American Vandal (still, by an absolute landslide, the best Netflix production in my opinion and the best parody I've ever seen) so it's unfortunate that the episode invites comparisons to that show so readily, but on its own I really liked it (even if I felt it dragged a bit towards the end) and how it catches you by surprise is also quite enjoyable. As somebody else mentioned above, the payoff to Titus's random gigs was one of the best executed jokes in the show (particularly when combined with Kimmy's line the next episode about how could one not know what was being done).

OMG the third episode has to be the best TV episode I've watched all year. So well done and covers so many things.

I loved Titus's play and the plot they had going for Jacqueline and Xan in the last ep. This is a return to form after the 2nd and 3rd season. But why did they end it like that. Too bad Xan and Kimmy did not manage to interact. I love their tandem.

Episode 3's thunder was stolen a bit by American Vandal but it's still a pretty strong episode. It's definitely one of my favourite episodes of the show.

Episode 3 was amazing, overall this Season is easily on par with S1.

I'm surprised how much I enjoyed this half season after being kinda disappointed by the previous one.

But only 6 episodes is not enough, especially because I thought it would be 8 like Arrested Development so it ended abruptly for me.

Like everyone here, watch American Vandal if you haven't already, it's amazing.

I enjoyed this season a lot, though I've always enjoyed this show and have never perceived a decline in quality for any of the seasons (outside of the back half of season one, which was rough).

welcome, nowhere
The doc episode was weird. I can't say I really liked the DJ actor or the tone of it.

However, I enjoyed that they brought back that clip from the 90s. Shit was surreal.

That was a great half season. If they keep up at this quality then they'll be finishing the show on a high.

After a disappointing season 2, season 3 was a jump up, and now season 4 is amazing. Just watched the documentary episode and holy crap.

This season is the smartest and funniest season yet.

Feminist in me is smiling and the topics are handled without being too heavy handed. Loved all of it.

Sad this show is coming to an end after the next part of this season.

Huh? It is one of the most heavy handed shows I think I've ever seen. I think that is one of its strengths, actually.

I really wish Netflix would stop chopping seasons of shows in half like this.
Every other season of Kimmy Schmidt has 13 episodes, this one, what, 6?

Set aside all that time to binge the season this past weekend and only needed half of what we budgeted.

That said, the few episodes we got were great. Poor Jan the Backpack... I was like "well that's that for the best new character this season".

I still have two episodes in this half season, but this is the strongest season IMO. Eps 3 and 4 have been amazing. "Actors play against type. Like Jeremy Renner straining to be a scientist in Arrival and Tom Hanks killing Nazis instead of collecting their memorabilia."

I think this is better than season 3, I did like s3 but it's definitely not quite on the same level.
"Capsule tylenol" is just the type of profoundly stupid stuff i want from this show. I love it. And Titus is amazing, he continues to make this show.

I'm disappointed that we have to wait so long for the rest of the episodes.

These 6 had some amazing stuff though. Backpack of rocks. Fabulosity. Slizzard. Beaudy and the Beest. That second gen Titus kid had me rolling.

I laughed so hard in every episode. This is the best season by far, in my opinion.

The true crime doc is AMAZING. I notice that there was a lot of Making a Murderer references (even though I didn't watch this one), but having watched (and loved) Wild Wild Country I can relate on how these docs make you ''relate'' to the people, even when they are horrible (but charismatic) like Ma Anand Sheela. The Reverend is one of these types on Kimmy Schmidt. It got almost too dark to be honest, with that horrible MRA activist. ''I KNEW you were too cool to be a female!''.

The clone stepmother Jacqueline just killed me LOL And La La Land 2 OMG

Definitely looking forward to the rest of the season.

finally got the time to watch the 6 new episodes
there's absolutely no other show that can make me laugh out loud 10 times in each episode, there were just so many fantastic moments.
the part when titus is directing the play and one of the kids walks off and he says: "bitch i don't know your life", i laughed till my gut hurt.

I waited to watch season 4 until it was all complete (cuz good lord almost 8 months between episode drops). Good lord I missed Fey's kind of bite. This true crime episode is fucked in just the right way.

Netflix threw this last batch of episodes out pretty quietly. I'm excited to watch them later.
