I mean all you have to do is look at the screenshots for this game

That's not possible on current generation hardware

Remember the Witcher 2 on Xbox 360, anything is possible.

What a game to have on a next gen console though.

Downgrades are always possible. Like, compare modern Skyrim completely modded out on current PC's to Skyrim on the PS3.

everything about this sounds like this game is going to be legendary. I can usually rely on CDPR to let me down in some significant ways though

Except that the fact sheet posted minutes ago clearly says the game is coming to PC, PS4, XB1. The screenshots could very well be from a maxed PC build and maybe even touched up a little bit.

It looked like a PC game, but based on the trailer it certainly didn't look like it won't run on current-gen systems. CDPR themselves said it will scale to next-gen systems and I'm sure it will look amazing on a PS5 or high-end PC in 2020-ish.

I wasn't too sold on the First Person bit at first, even though I also love FPS games. I was mostly concerned with a potential lack of visual customization that for a game like this could be amazing (just by looking at the characters showing up in the trailer). I still wish it was third person so I could see my character walk around looking awesome, but eh... I can live with First Person, and after reading more stuff I just kinda don't care about it as much now.
Hopefully we can see something soon.

Also that city looks awesome during the daytime, which is when most cyberpunk cities tend to look like shit. So I'm not concerned at all about how good it will definitely look during the night or twilight (with skies still somewhat bright, but all the neon and building lights already on). I wouldn't be surprised if it was a top priority and probably the base for the design, to work on that city during daylight and then just make it look cool during the night.

It's SUPREMELY frustrating that all of this is happening behind closed doors.

From the VGN article:
Cyberpunk 2077 is going to push this generation of consoles to breaking point. If Cyberpunk isn't a cross-gen game appearing on the PS5 and Xbox Scarlett then I'll eat my cybernetic implants. Not just in the character models and style of the world, but we're talking destructable scenery that explodes in the face of gunfire, drifting smoke, bullet tracers that curve through the air and gently rippling water.

I mean yeah, even from the trailer it seems obvious that this is a next-gen title. I can't even imagine it being cross-gen unless Sony allows companies to do PS4 Pro only for PS5 backported games. But damn does it sound sweet. 2020 can't come fast enough.
The Game Informer thing says it's definitely coming to this gen.

I built a new PC for witcher 3, thinking I might do a big upgrade before Cyberpunk releases. CD Projekt dictating my upgrade cycles now

What are the suspected system requirements for PC? Should a 8600k and 1080ti be able to max it you think? Do we know what engine it runs on?

First person? Suddenly it went from my most anticipated game to just another game I'll possibly play.

It seems bizarre to me that they seem so excited to finally show the game off and they have a working--seemingly incredibly--gameplay demo, and they didn't use it to make the biggest first impression possible. I guess it doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things, we'll see it and play it eventually, but it's still a bit frustrating. It's probably either in a state that is slightly rough around the edges but journalists are understandably willing to forgive at this stage in development, or they don't want to show something that might end up getting cut.

I can confirm that this is indeed for Xbox One, PS4, and PC per the official fact sheet sent to press from CD Projekt Red released after the E3 presser. If it was next-gen, they'd likely just say PC for right now but it's coming to these current consoles.
