The Rotten Tomatoes score for The Incredibles 2 has been revealed and it's currently a 97% score with an average rating of 8.3/10!

And here's the Critic's Concensus:

Critics Consensus: Incredibles 2 reunites Pixar's family crimefighting team for a long-awaited follow-up that may not quite live up to the original, but comes close enough to earn its name.

The animation is stellar and detailed in excellent action sequences, Michael Giacchino's score swings harder than ever, and the first film's family-friendly warmth is just as appealing now as it was then.

Don't let the dazzle fool you. Bird's made the weirdest Pixar movie ever, revolutionary and retro, an anti-authoritarian ode to good parenting.

Here's hoping they're back again soon; I can't wait to meet Jack-Jack's unlucky preschool teacher.

Of course, Incredibles 2, for all of its domesticity, is never dull.

Pixar films are famously beautiful when it comes to character design and art direction, but Incredibles 2 is one of the most significant achievements in this regard.

Perhaps most intriguingly, Incredibles 2 is both pop-culture eye candy and a sly critique of it.

All positive so far.

The wait till July is going to hurt, why do we get it a month after everyone else.

I'll guess I'll watch The Adventures of Mr. Incredible for the 11th time whilst waiting then.

I know animated movies (esp disney/pixar) are usually inflated but I still don't know how Dory ended up with the score it did. It was bland and quickly forgotten despite its box office performance.

Remarkably close to the first's RT ranking right now. Same 97% and only 0.1 point lower average.

Only 50ish reviews in so far though, so things will likely change.

Great scores across the board but happy to see Ehrlich and AA Dowd both liked it quite a bit.

It's Interesting how little traffic a review thread for the sequel to one of the best superhero movies of all time gets, presumably because it isn't part of the Marvel/DC drama. Good to see Bird seems to have knocked it out of the park once again. Looking forward to see it with my niece soon.

I was wondering this myself when I kept thinking it was a June release here in the UK too before checking cinema listings...

Based on a search around, it seems like the delay is due to the World Cup since that's gonna take up the publics time for the next month :(

That Honest Trailer has an A+ Simpsons reference that I did not expect and had me laughing for a solid minute.

Watching this tonight. Fucked up and realized I bought double feature tickets though, so I'll probably be at the bar downstairs for an hour and a half before part 2 starts lol.

I've learned to love the first one a lot throughout the years. Can't wait to watch this one.

The movie was completely fantastic. Went to the double feature and I honestly believe they may have topped the original.

The themes that Bird covered worked really well, the action was phenomenal, Jack Jack stole the show and the visuals were top notch. There is a specific fight against Screenslaver that you'll know exactly when you see it. Very unique and memorable.

This is not easing my worries that this'll have more Ayn Rand BS

I've legit enjoyed these Pixar sequels if only for the novelty of seeing old characters in new funny scenes, like a high-budget TV show followup. I'm hoping Incredibles 2 is actually a great movie to go with that novelty.

I had tickets for a double feature and only saw the sequel. I will say walking in, holy shit the BO was bad.

the double feature at my IMAX tonight was probably the worst audience experience I've ever had.

Er... I mean, it's no different than having people in the theater right before for a different showing. Might be in your heads a bit. The BO isn't related to it being a double feature. :P

Just got back.

It's a lot of fun. Has some incredibly well choreographed action. You guys who like seeing superhero powers collide and compliment one another in creative ways will love it. The action in this film puts the live action shit we've been getting for the past few years to shame.

Giacc is on point too. Great score.

It's not nearly the tightly paced pitch-perfect film the first one was, but then it's hard to achieve perfection twice out of the gate. It deals with some interesting ideas and is easily the darkest/most adult Pixar film in existence. It felt like Brad Bird and Pixar made a Shane Black film lol.

You can tell Nelson and Hunter's voices have aged a lot. Mr. Incredible sounds old, man.

Anyway, a lot of fun, but not on par with the first.
