Looks good and a lot like Quantum Break. Was thinking 'is this QB2..?' during the trailer.

Really happy to see that Remedy can still financially make visually arresting games.

Can't wait. Hope it's packed with crazy powers and not so much standard shooty shooty.

Looks cool although it gives off some Quantum Break vibes which I greatly disliked. But Remedy still deserves the benefit of the doubt at this point.

Oh and the omnipresence of guns has reached a new level here, lady has super awesome telekinetic powers but she still has to be packing.

Excited! Like other people have said, it looks really similar to Quantum Break. A great evolution of what they learned there. Her movement seem a bit close to Max Payne than QBs though (not a bad thing).

Looks awesome. Loved QB, so excited to see how Remedy builds off what they learned.
Is this a Quantum Break sequel? Seemed to have a lot of similarities. Looked solid either way. Hopefully it can improve on QB.
It's not. The protagonist's name is Jesse Faden, and is played by Courtney Hope - who was Beth Wilder in QB. Given the similarities, this game almost assuredly started out as a QB sequel, but Microsoft owning that IP meant they had to change it.

I still haven't play Quantum Break or Alan Wake. And I own Alan Wake. I don't if I should be excited even though this looked really good. I like the gameplay mechanic of picking up shit so seamlessly(telekinesis) and throwing it at enemies.

Looks like a weird mix of occult stuff with the rituals, and some mind bending sci fi. Awesome.

gonna have to echo all of the comments regarding the simularity to Quantum Break. But hey, its just a teaser. Down for anything Remedy.

I want it badly.

Really loved the gunplay in Quantum Break, always wanted more of it because the mechanics were so amazing. I hope the story this time around is deeper, really loved what I saw!

Another third-person shooter with special powers from Remedy. Quantum Break was one of the dullest games I've ever played, especially after Alan Wake. Not expecting anything good with this one.

I still haven't played Quantum Break because I didn't wanna get a console just for one game (I did that for Alan Wake, and while I don't regret it, I didn't feel like spending the money again).

But I have a new computer now, so QB, here I come.

When I was watching the reveal trailer live, I immediately thought that this was the sequel of Quantum Break. You could clearly notice the same engine of that game in that trailer, but at the same time I was thinking.... How? If the first Quantum Break didn't get released on PS4... then they revealed that name, lol.

I thought Remedy was a Microsoft Studio, though..

The Game Director of Control is Mikael "Mixu" Kasurinen while Sam is the Creative Director of Remedy. The story is very much from Sam and Mixu and the narrative team (Anna Megill + others), but Mixu is the main driving force behind Control...but it's a team effort.

Also, thank you that we managed to keep our game secret right up until the reveal. I cant tell you how nerve-wracking the last few weeks has been.

The aim is to give you the players the choice...use the transforming Service Weapon or the supernatural abilities...or a combination. However you wanna play it, this is much more of a gameplay-driven experience from us.

I wasn't a big fan of Quantum Break, so I'm cautious about this one. It has that same cold, industrial look and the gameplay seems very similar. But at least it doesn't seem to have that god afwull tv-show bits. Hope it can become what QB was ment to be.

I remembered QB was very negatively criticized by PS fans. I remembered some comments like "it is just a boring shooting game], etc.
Curious to know how PS fans think about "Control".
I will get this game for my One X for sure.

Man, I hope the PC port of this is better optimised than QB was.

I really enjoyed that game but I could never get it to run perfectly.

Cool to hear Sam is on the story, one of the best writers in games. Introduced me to film noir! Since then I have read The Big Sleep and seen a lot of those classic movies like Murder My Sweet, good stuff. This game looks very cool.

If you don't mind, since you are here... is there any information regarding localization?

Being from Brazil, i know i would greatly appreciate seeing this game with Subtitles in Portuguese or even Dubbed

Way too early to say. Not really in Remedy's hands either. Suffice to say our company has over 20 different nationalities including Brazilians :)

I thought this was a Remedy game from the first seconds. It just has that look, and then the gameplay broke out and pretty much confirmed it. I think it's cool when a studio actually has an identifiable visual identity.

Quantum breaks biggest issue with some in the community from what I recall is that the game didn't make it clear you shouldn't be playing it like a cover based shooter. You should have been flying around using all of your powers. When you played it like that it was an incredibly fun game.

Like this shit, lol

The psi ops sequel I always wanted?

Its honestly the first remedy game I've been intrigued by. Looks trippy and different. Sadly the game got lost amongst better games.

There was a time when I would have been super excited about this, but that was before I played Quantum Break. That game took me from a Remedy fan to an... eh, I'll wait and see, and this game looking so similar to QB doesn't do it any favours. That game was such a miserable experience, slow-walking from cutscene to cutscene with multiple soundbytes playing over eachother or being cut out when you hit invisible trigger points in the level, sitting on my hands watching that po-faced, self-serious third-rate TV show; Quantum Break didn't give me anything that I liked about Remedy's previous games.

I mean, I won't write this one off straight away, but I really need Remedy to change everything about their approach with Quantum Break to get back on board.

I was thinking Remedy and QB when I saw this. Looks cool and I have loved Reemdy's games. The model looks like an actress from QB (the live action stuff?).

also, plz no live action. ;)

I had a fun time playing QB, so I'm all in for this.

But please, don't
end the game with a bullshit boss this time!
