Yep. Incredibly awkward dialogue and probably the main reason I was put off by the trailer at first.
Well we are getting serious Dante. I'm guessing that black guy in the beginning was speaking to him. I'm kinda looking forward to it. Of course I still want a lot of good old cocky Dante. I'm sure they won't fuck it up.
I like the idea of her character well enough and I can see her being endearing, but I definitely agree on those lines - they felt kind of stilted and mechanical in how they were written (translated?), not really the fun kind of cheesy. Still, it's a pretty minor complaint in the overall scheme of things.
That is the charm of the series as a whole. Something DMC 3 & 4 had in spades and something the reboot lacked entirely. So I've never really tried to get into a character action game, but this footage has got my attention. On top of how nice the combat looks, the game's tone seems to have just the right amount of narm to work for me. It looks really silly but more in a self-aware way where the game is laughing with the player instead of a way where the player is laughing at the game.
That was the impression I got, but the time I started hearing about the series more was when DmC was coming out and it didn't really catch my interest. The bits I've seen of DMC3 and 4 look solid, but I've never been sure if this type of game is for me.That is the charm of the series as a whole. I don't know if The Gaming Brit's new video from today has been posted yet, but I legit cried a little:
Ten years.
It's super awesome. Another thing I loved about the reveal. That logo is definitely top tier. Ima use that as my psn profile background picture.
I would strongly recommend trying DMC3. It's widely regarded as one of the absolute best games in the genre, as well as the best game in the DMC series so far. It excels in virtually every regard. That was the impression I got, but the time I started hearing about the series more was when DmC was coming out and it didn't really catch my interest. I'm considering trying out DMC5 as an entry point and then going back to the earlier entries if I end up enjoying it.

I hope they will upload a 4K video soon.
I know DMC4 has Special Edition, but what's considered the best way to play 1 and 3 on consoles?I would strongly recommend trying DMC3. It's widely regarded as one of the absolute best games in the genre, as well as the best game in the DMC series so far. It excels in virtually every regard.
(There are some things I like more about 4, but there's no question that 3 is the better overall package.)
I already liked the trailer when it was revealed, but the more I watch it, the more I love it! The music, style, characters, ahhhh the hype is real.
This is where I'm at with it, combined with Dante's more gaunt look feeling like a callback to DMC2.

There is a HD collection of 1, 2 and 3 on PS4, Xbox One and PC.I know DMC4 has Special Edition, but what's considered the best way to play 1 and 3 on consoles?

I love Ninja Theory but what they did in DmC is a disgrace... that god awful dialogue man
Capcom didn't even acknowledge it's existence while unveiling DMC5 and said "it's been 10 years since DMC4"
Happy it's a nightmare behind us now
Yeah loved that line. They also called DMC5 a "True Sequel" to 4. The shade was real.
Her animation and VO was great too. Seems like she'll be a real fun character. Having watched the trailer another couple of times, my hype is through the roof for this.
Ehh, that's debatable. Now if you're talking about DmC: Definitive Edition then I agree.Yeah loved that line.
DmC was a good action game but a terrible DMC.
Ok watched it twice and think it looks great! Big bosses, giving nero more variation in gameplay than he had in 4. Just hope its 60fps n dante and vergil are playable

The character presentation looked like a dragon would show any moment.Considering that 90% of the animations are straight from DMC4 wich parts reminded you of Scalebound?
