If we're assuming this is Vergil taking Nero's arm than DmC predicted his love of dumb unnecessary hats.

If you removed Dante on the bike, I would bet money this is DmC 2.
Lacks that gothic touch.

While I loved everything I saw I was a bit worried until I saw Dante in the end and now I'm so damn happy. While I did want the game to be mainly focused on Dante I'll take this without an issue, I trust Itsuno.

DMC5 is using the RE Engine, will run at 60

"but rest assured the complete package will be delivered to you in true Devil May Cry form at a silky-smooth 60 frames-per-second and stunning visual fidelity, thanks to the power of our proprietary RE Engine."

They probably used the likeness of someone for Nero like they did for Chris Redfield

Director Hideaki Itsuno and the core team have reunited to conclude the long awaited Sons of Sparda saga.

Yeah, the hooded guy is 100% Vergil. The press release confirms 3 playable characters too.

The trailer gets better every time i see it, holy crap Itsuno delivered.

Capcom's proprietary in-house RE Engine ensures that with Devil May Cry 5, the series continues to achieve new heights in fidelity, featuring ground-breaking graphics that utilise photorealistic character designs and stunning lighting and environmental effects. The game features three playable characters, each of which offer a radically different stylish combat play style as they take on the city overrun with demons. Adrenaline-fuelled boss fights play out against destructible environments in the striking streets of Red Grave City.

Nero IS NOT the ONLY main character. Three playable characters confirmed.

Several years have passed in Devil May Cry 5 and the threat of demonic power, long since forgotten, has returned to menace the world once again.
This hellish incursion attracts the attention of the young demon hunter, Nero, an ally of Dante who now finds himself without his demonic arm, the source of much of his power.
As Nero heads to Red Grave City in his motorhome named "Devil May Cry" with his partner Nico
The loss of his demonic arm, the demonic invasion, and Dante's unknown whereabouts. Things must be settled once and for all.

Real talk, I enjoy playing Nero in 4 more than Dante. Sure Dante has infinite depth, but perfect exceed combos are SO satisfying.

DmC2 with DMC5 name...like rubbing salt on whining DMC fanboys. Thanks goodness Capcom knows which dmc is better.

Gameplay looks great, but man do the new character design looks weird.
Reminds me a bit of how Chris changed in RE7, and not in a good way. Nero actually reminded me of Donte at first...

Yeah first they do Chris and now Dante and Nero. If they want to uglify all their male characters they can count me out.

Me after watching the trailer. It gave me everything I wanted.

- Continued the storyline from 4
- Gave me Dante, Nero and Vergil
- Combat looks dope
- Gave me updated graphics
- Characters were older
- DMC music

I loved it.

That absolutely was not DMC music lol, from either of the original series or the reboot. Sounded almost like something out of Bayonetta than DMC.

I'm curious if Vergil is actually playable because it seems like he's the main antagonist

Not that he wouldn't eventually be playable with DLC but yeah

Third character could easily be someone new if they wanted

I really really liked that.

That world design was clearly a compromise between the visual style of DmC and where they left off with DMC4. By making it Nero who DmC Dante was based off of it's not throwing away the combat developments made by DmC. Which is good.

I think that was the right way to go about it.

I'm personally excited for the game even if Nero looks like Cody Rhodes and Dante reminds me of Michael Shannons Commander Zod from Man of Steel.
