If you guys haven't watched Inside the NBA on TNT then most of Shaq's brand of humour will be new to you. The stuff Shaq and Chuck say on nearly every episode would shock everyone here.

Well I'm sorry that I haven't reached the pinnacle of New Yorker cartoon comedy for you. I try not to take myself too seriously and laugh at dumb jokes, I'm sorry.
I have the Amiga version, which is actually based on the genesis version.
It's a one button fighter. The Amiga version ONLY supports 1 button joysticks. How does that work, then? Shit like holding down the button and tapping right makes you punch, holding down the button and tapping up makes you kick, double tapping the button then holding it down and pressing right makes you do a hard punch, etc.
It's completely and utterly unplayable. Even if you "button mash" your character will just fidget around.
They lost me with the Twerk Monster thing and then brought me back within 15 seconds. This game is actually pretty funny.
Well the game looks pretty bad, but these 2 cutscenes and the one that opens the game are very fun haha
It's a tongue in cheek revival, it's clearly made with no reverence for the original given its notorious reputation. Kind of like the recent Bubsy, at least in terms of its marketing (appropriately enough for that franchise, aping Sonic's Twitter style)
My most guilty pleasure game of the year lol. Imma picking up a physical copy of the game today and hoping it's more playable then the original games.

If rest of the game has this kind of cheeky (ahahahaha) humor then I;m all for it. Very anime.

And c'mon, biker dude was cute. Shaq didn't judge him. Yakuza and Persona have done far worse.
Yeah, I'm not exactly in love with the writing of Shaq Fu, but if we're going to call out gay jokes in video games Shaq Fu 2018 isn't exactly the strongest offender.
I think this is just going off of Shaq's incredibly goofy/weird sense of humor and it appeals to a lot of people who are into goofy/over-the-top/weird animation and Shaq's persona
Like... are these Asian characters stereotypes? Sure... but it's supposed to be a cheesy Kung Fu B-movie... Is Shaq into a girl with a big butt who turns into a twerking butt monster...? Sure, it's Shaq. I get the feeling that all of the weird stuff in the game is the type of comedy that Shaq is into (he did the voice over and is involved in the game right?). Is Shaq a racist? Uh, maybe?

I tried the first level since I didn't pay for the copy anyway, game-play is dreadfully boring. The jokes are hit and miss, some are pretty funny, and some just feel like they're trying too hard. The whole thing seems like it's trying to be over the top stupid in general though, really.

I'm going to buy this right now. Watching these videos and reading how over the top it is sounds like a good time to me, but all the comments attacking it for not being pc is what sold me on it.
I imagine a taco being consumed in that manner would be especially... tasteless.
