Hmmm... I mean...I'm not saying he couldn't have done it. But my mind is surprised? He seems like the least likely to even attempt such a thing. But the last year and half has shown me that anything is possible.

He apologized for doing it because she was a reporter. That's even worse. Hoo boy.
This may be the worst sexual misconduct-related apology to surface in the last year, and that includes the guy who linked to a recipe for his favorite pizza rolls.
That's a pretty shitty apology, but all evidence seems to indicate that he's grown significantly as a person in the last 18 years. I don't think he needs to hand in his feminist card. He should contact the reporter for a real apology now though.

Trudeau falls perfectly into the "Overcompensate with ostentatious displays because of guilt/shame over prior behavior and/or to deflect from current behavior" pattern you see play out so often.

I mean, there is physical evidence that the assault happened as described in the article. Regardless of the source, the claim is credible.

These almost never turn out to be isolated incidents. It will be interesting to see if any other women come forward with similar stories.

If he did it, then admitting it and reaching out to the reporter with an apology would be a start.

With the timing and the age of the original piece you can tell that there's an agenda being pushed here. Still, if he did it, he should come out and admit it.

I don't disagree with you, but as the user in my own quoted post had mentioned, no Canadian journalists are running anything on this. It's all been US only. Started at Breitbart, then Buzzfeed and the Daily Beast.
Yeah, I'm saying it's a US conservative agenda after Trump's spat with Trudeau and Macron. Breitbart had this in their back pocket and was just waiting for the right anti Trudeau event to happen to release it and stew liberals up against their allies.
Buzzfeed went and found the original paper though they haven't been able to track down the original editor for comment. The allegation isn't fake AFAIK.
