Compared to the sales of the first Switch game that is a big drop off no?
I expected a drop since the first release obviously had a lot of hype.

Well i hope they dont abandon their original audience in favor of the Switch

I don't think that will happen. It won't be strange to see PS4 and Switch versions of games side by side, order ready, going forward. We're already seeing it.

On the other hand, Nintendo's new darling platform is slowly overtaking Playstation as THE place to play indie games, or so I hear. If Golf Story and Dragon Marked for Death are any indication, devs are making exclusives for Switch going forward. Indie games are making there way to the console, more and more. With that in mind, its easy to see why Switch orders are here to stay.

I also believe the Switch is selling well in Japan and the PS4 really isn't, right? I wouldn't be surprised if we see Japanese b-tier game support move almost completely over to the Switch as well.

Should milk the Vita audience while they can, since Vita always sells out before PS4.

People definitely have a hard on for the Switch, that's for sure.

Yes, but PixelJunk Monsters 2 got a lot of angry feedback because the price and the game itself. And Thimbleweed Park is imo a much bigger indie game.

PJM2 did around 4,000 to 4,500 copies on Switch, i think that's okay for that game.

7000 units total, standard + CE ?
Given PS4 CE was 1500 and Switch CE was 2500 that would mean only 3000 units of the standard edition were sold for both platforms ?
Specifically since he says the PS4 sold arount 2500-3000 units that would mean PS4 Standard sold around 1000 and Switch Standard sold around 2000.

That's not much...
But boy do people really show up for their collector editions ^^

Cosmic Star Heroin figures are not too concerning because as far as we know the tweet could mean 5k standard units were sold on the PS4 and 5k standard units were sold on the Vita, which would be fine.
(on the contrary 5k total would seem low for this release)

I'm hoping there's going to be some overlap between Slime-san's preorders and the next round of games on the 22nd, save a wee bit on shipping.

VA-11 HALL-A should happen this month, with the release date being announced during LRG's E3 event.

Competition with the E3 stream is going to be crazy... No doubt they have at least one big title.

I think and hope so. If LRG starting every first and third friday a pre order for Switch games, i can always order at the thrid friday two games and can save a lot of shipping costs (15 USD per order, thats 7.50 USD for each game).

I think i would not order that much games from LRG if i had to pay 15 USD for the shipping of every game.

I use the calendar subscription they put out. It used to be really spotty if they added to it (and I missed out on something I wanted because they didn't put it on the calendar), but they are not only much more consistent about it, but they also properly mark all-day events so it doesn't screw up my calendar. I honestly don't need to know more than a week or so ahead of time what is and isn't coming out; I don't need to hype myself to buy something, and I have the cashflow to get a game every once in a while (not a collector!).

Alternatively, for those of us who don't have discord, is this pretty cool website from Germany: https://limitedgamenews.com/

That's a neat site, but I wonder why they list stuff like Ys and Valkyria 4? Those are by no means 'limited'.

EDIT: Looks like they just plug whatever rareish games get posted on Play-Asia as they are affiliates (and stuff by LRG and the like)

Darn, also looks like the Shelter: Generations game is already done for PAL region. (I only collect the NAs so no good for me >_>)

Well since we are talking discords, some of us over at the LRG forums started a discord to track limited releases from the various companies. We have reps from most of the companies (Just missing a rep from SLG at this point).

On the fence with the Slime San CE. On the one hand, I love steelbooks, but when it's going to just sit in a box it's sorta what's the point. Doug, I would love LRG to offer just the steelbooks separately. :)

Thinking about selling off my LRG trading cards since it's not my cup of tea. I just have them in the game cases now since I don't want to buy a binder. What's the best way to get rid of these, LRG forums or eBay? Lot or singles?

Depending on the size and price of the lot I'd possibly be up for buying them over PM. Which cards do you have? If not here, then the LRG forums would be the next best place

Doug, can you reveal what's coming on June 22 and June 29? I'm sooo tempted with the "Slime-San" CE but also worried that it would force me to skip another potentially important release later this month. If you could announce the rest of June before Friday, that'd be dope!

Happy to hear about Slime San, one of the Switch games I've wanted to try for a while.

Woof, everyone just needs to watch the E3 video!

June 22nd games will be announced next week as well, I think?

There are definitely some huge Vita games coming in that E3 video!
