Really enjoying the game so far. Though I do wish it didn't take 10-15 seconds to get back into the game after you've been wrecked by another player. Forcing you to watch the killcam is annoying. Also not being able to skip the post-match stats.

Hey Rushy, well done to you and the team the game is great fun! What is the plan supporting the game going forward, will you be supporting the game with a mix of free and paid content? Any chance of road map like the one you created for Driveclub?
No roadmap yet, but expect plenty of updates in the near future. We'll share some of our plans later this month :)

The weather option is missing in the custom race. Is this on purpose?
Weather control and more options are being added in a upcoming update.

@Rushy: thanks for making this great game, really takes me back to the arcade fun of the past, infused with fresh ideas.

Really hope the title gains more traction among gamers in the coming weeks over the summer , I think many are missing out on a super fun game!

great news, the base of the game is there and is very good, then to see what is possible to do with .. a part that looks more like a classic motorstorm, without the rush and with the victory of the one who arrived first seems like a great option ^^

Thanks, can't wait to try the game in various weather conditions.

But that's the point of the game? Taking down the opponent players is like to stop the timer of the opponent team in this game.

Yesterday, my copies of Onrush and Vampyr arrived. Currently blasting through Detroit, and hoping to go all in on these two over the weekend.

Really looking forward to getting stuck in, as this is type of racer that I've been sorely missing, and the DF technical analysis sealed the deal for me.

If anyone wants to add me for some multi, my PSN handle is Haikira__

Each player has 4 lives, every time you lose a life you lose access to a category of cars/bikes. When you loose all your lives you only have access to the heavy vehicles. The object is to take out the take out the opposition so none of their players have any lives remaining.

The amount of lives a player has is marked above their vehicle so you can see who to target.

Hope this helps!

That does! Thanks.

Given the fast pace I'm just eager to get back in and not sit on my hands though!

Game is like crack so far.

So crack-like

Well the patch completely destroyed the framerate on the x1x. This is why i hate the modern trend of patching stuff, they tend to break more things than they. The game ran silky smooth yesterday but now runs like it's running on the resolution mode.

Come on guys. How does this get past qa? It's bordering on unplayable.
Yeah. This happened to me yesterday. I figured that a reboot might fix it. I will try that tonight.

So this game is really dope. I've been having a ton of fun with it, more than I thought I would following the beta. IK'm glad I stuck with my pre-order, and I hope word of mouth is strong for it (solid reviews from IGN should help out a bit). I do have some gripes, both quality of life, and in overall gameplay.

  • When opening crates, I wish there was a compare button, so I could see what I currently have equipped on a racer/car and decide which I like better.
  • Activiating Rush just doesn't seem super effective overall, it doesn't provide me the sense of power that I feel like it's trying to and the speed boost seems super minimal. Sometimes I activate Rush with the intention of catching up to the pack, and it seems like I'm barely going any faster than someone boosting.
  • Some Rush abilities are wayyyyy more useful than others. The one that leaves a trail that blinds people behind you is an absolute bitch, and one of the most effective ways to get takedowns (devs should really consider cutting the amount of time you stay blinded, or the intensity of the effect). Meanwhile, things like giving boost to close teammates are kind of meh. If you're playing halfway decently, you should never really be out of boost.
  • I'd love to be able to skip the Wreck Cam
  • When I do a cool takedown and it goes into a slow motion pan, it's important that the computer takes control of my car for me, or makes my car invincible while I'm not in control! At least once a race I wreck simply because I can't control my vehicle while it's trying to show me something cool. Burnout 3 figured this out years ago, it's a bit of an inexcusable oversight now.
Some of these are more minor than others (losing control while showing me a takedown really does piss me off), but overall I'm still really enjoying the game. It's fun, fast, and gorgeous! I wish it was $20 cheaper so the barrier to entry isn't so harsh to some people. I don't personally think there's a lack of content to justify the price here, but at some point you kind of just need to read the room, and if you're making a niche entry in an already niche genre, you need to be more inviting to people.

Just wanted to say that this game is really great Rushy! Been a long time since I've been so addicted to a racer since BLUR :)
I'm 47 myself and grew up with arcade racers, and sadly a lot of arcade racers have vanished, so thank you for releasing this fantastic game!

I do hope you will add more tracks and modes eventually ( I love the gamemodes of Split/Second btw, and they could fit OnRush very well ), because I don't want this game to end anytime soon :)
Excellent job and I really hope OnRush will do well.

Yeah, same for me in the beginning - was crashing so often that i sometimes just did not try the takedown.
Now i just hit the brakes hard and steer away from the wall as soon as i see in the slow motion that it could be close.

yeah, but not every abilitiy is there to do takedowns on enemies. for example, in Overdrive, the abilities that give boost to teammates are more useful than simply take downs. Or in Countdown the Titan´s barricades are super useful. They all have their usage, often it depends on the mode you are playing. i agree with the intensity of the blinded effect, it is a little too obscured, maybe toning it down a little could help.

Activating Rush should maybe last a little longer, it is over too fast to make a difference in some cases...you push the button and it´s over till you reach your enemies.
i only use rush when i am near enemy cars because otherwise it is a waste. make sure to use it only when enemy cars are in sight, not to "close the gap".

Yeah, I totally agree that they all theoretically have their different uses, I just personally think some of those uses aren't as valuable as others. I'd love to be able to customize/swap out vehicles and Rush abilities. I personally will never choose a bike if I can help it, but I might if I could throw on a Rush ability like Barricade or the blinding one. I know they want to stick to an Overwatch-style distinct class thing, but honestly I think the vehicles kind of all blend in to one, and in a racing game the vehicle you choose kind of comes down to your personal taste and how you liek to race/drive. Knowing that, I'd love to be able to have the "distinct playstyle" tied more to the Rush abilities than the vehicles themselves.

When's this release for PC? Any firm date? Hope there's a population around the game at that point as i'm really interested.

Really getting the hang of it now, still having a ton of fun.

The only thing I'd like them to tweak / improve is the slow respawn timer. That 5 seconds feels like forever, dropping it to 3 seconds would make it better to get back in the action faster, without losing much momentum then.

I remember this was a big thing with Driveclub, and then GT Sport.
If anyone that thinks they might be experiencing this issue still has Driveclub installed, you can use the electric car (can't remember the name) and the dash will show your throttle percentage. Broken DS4s can't get over something like 70% throttle.

I can't help but wonder how awesome this game would sound with Dolby Atmos on the X. Hearing weather, cars and debris crashing all around you. Think Mad Max, Fury Road Dolby Atmos audio but applied to Onrush.

Game seems to have a bunch of network issues. Been stuck on a never ending loading screen and booted out another game instantly with zero lag. First time trying the launch version tonight :(

I really hope this game does well for them. It's a lot of fun and I'm sure the few issues I have with it will be patched or looked at for a potential sequel. We don't get games like this anymore and I'd like to continue seeing them.

regarding infinite loading screen: just let it load...sometimes it fails to put you in a match then you must wait till the running match is over..they should patch in a message or countdown to make clearer that it just couldn´t put you in the game

Framerate. The game is so damn fast, that you have a hard time noticing a higher res :)

On X1X myself, and my mind might be playing tricks on me, but I've noticed some tearing after the last patch.

there is an massive influx of "kamikaze drivers" in the game, they manage to bump you out but crash themselves in the process...and it is obvious that the people with the green number (myself included, lvl 41 onwards nets you a green number) are constantly on top of the MVP list, so they really know how to play the game compared to the ones with the red number. the game has its learning curve for sure...

Really enjoying the game so far.

Do you guys find the game easier with Bikes or Cars? I mostly use bikes, regardless of gametype (like a Hanzo player that won't switch class), but it can be pretty rough sometimes.

Getting wrecked by my team mates from time to time is one of the most frustrating elements. They can't wreck you directly but bikes really get pushed around. Even fodder can bring you to a halt from time to time.

GTS is also a good candidate for the test, you can check the throttle limit with any car and any event. That's how I discovered my OG controller was busted and had to buy a new Dualshock.

i choose depending on the situation, game mode and how many "class" vehicles are already taken by other teammates....for example in Lockdown i mostly use the heavy vehicles(Titan, Enforcer) to bump everything out of the way or trigger the special that blinds people or set up barricades. It really depends on the situation and which cars the enemy team drives into the "battle" .-)

The Outlaw bike is perfect for Overdrive because you can supply yourself with Rush easily and do this shockwave on landings constantly. Another good choice for Overdrive is the Dynamo as it supplies teammates with Rush.

So, i would say, experiment with the different vehicles they all have their ups and downs .-)

Wipeout HD/Fury will also display throttle as a percentage on the HUD. You can also adjust the trigger sensitivity to see the degree to which your analog bumpers might be damaged. Ideally, you should still be able to hit 100% throttle even with the lowest sensitivity option.

I noticed that a network dropout booted me out of a single player game (where I thought I was on a good run) right to the splash screen, where it seemed to hang for a while and I just gave up.

I hope these weird little niggles are ironed out, the rest of the game is just fucking amazing, so much better than I was expecting!

That car is the DS Survolt.
My busted R2 still went to 90%, so it took a time trial to notice that something is amis.

I somehow didn't know this game existed until last night. Probably going to have to snag a copy for my X this weekend, or I should say download a digital copy as it seems like every Best Buy in the area is out.

To everyone who was having framerate issues after installing the latest update, Rushy's suggestion to restart the console fixed the framerate. it's back up to a smooth 60 fps!

Played like ten single player events last night. This game is so much fun. The campaign is getting harder too. I just lost the final of a Switch tournament and i have to start from the quarter finals again. I am constantly letting out oohs and aahs when crashing or tacking down enemies. i am 33 years old and am acting like a kid playing with his toys. What a blast this game turned out to be.

DF wasn't wrong about different time of day completely changing the look of some maps for the better. Some of these same beta maps look stunning during dusk and early morning enveloped in fog. Absolutely gorgeous. Then there are the rain and snow effects. OMG. Game looks insane at times.

I also dont understand how the X1's 1080p 60 fps mode looks so good on my 4k tv. Driveclub looks so blurry and jaggied on the same tv. Like what kind of wizardry is this? Is if the high res 4k textures or the 16x AF all X1X games get? Is it their temporal aliasing solution? Even if it is running at 1440p, the game looks cleaner than most 1440p games i played on the PS4 Pro, and there are many.

My biggest complain when it comes to playing on a 4k tv is that 1080p games look blurry and even 1440p games dont look too sharp, but if Evolution Studios has cracked the code to make even low res games look clean and crisp on the 4k sets, i hope other devs who struggle to get their games to run at checkerboard 4k on the PS4 Pro learn from whatever Evo did to get this to look this clean. this is a fantastic technical achievement AFAIAC.

47 Years myself and also having a great time. Nowadays it's pretty hard for me to go upstairs, turn on a console and play a game. But Onrush... damn. After a hard day's work I'm looking forward to fire up OnRush. Really fantastic game that brings back the feelings of BLUR online.

36 years here and yeah, after not liking the beta so much, i must say the full game is the most fun i had with a multiplayer game for a long time..done a classic 180 on this game. i played for 4 or 5hours straight yesterday evening and had so much fun...there were really close matches and everyone was throwing out some "GG" after the rounds. Seems that the people playing are all having a great time with the game.

There are matches so thrilling that i get completely "in the zone" with this game. This game keeps me really amped up for hours.
I would buy the shit out of some "music packs" for some new music mixes, i really like the crazy effect laden mixtape style of the soundtrack and i am already craving more of this goodness lol.
