Well I'm already living in Japan. Definitely ready to move on. Sooo my top 5 would be

1. Italy
2. Spain
3. Morocco
4. Denmark
5. UAE

Mainly because these are the other cultures that interest me the most. They are all rather unique and markedly different from both the US and Japan (the two places I've lived for long periods of time). Italy is #1 mostly because of my fascination with ancient Roman culture and mythology. I studied it extensively throughout high school and middle school. Denmark is on the list above other Nordic countries because of their seafaring history and the historical significance of the Danes in general.

Spain first
Italy second
Greece third
Netherlands fourth
UK fifth

First three for family reasons, last 2 for giggles.

As a Brazilian who lived in Vancouver for some time and now proudly Australian I must warn you - don't. Like, never.

My parents are Brazilian and having visited a bunch/getting dual citizenship I always kind of romanticized living there for a stint to better connect with my roots or some shit. But yeah I don't think that's in the cards with how things have gone

I wouldn't leave the US, realistically, but I did like Germany a lot when I went there. It was a lot different than I thought it'd be.

Also Scotland, my grandma's from there and I still have family living there

Would prolly just move back to London. Lived there for a year and loved it.

Would love to live in Canada, too. Toronto rocks. That's where I'd go.

Australia seems really fun, though. Maybe there instead.

Germany is another standout for me. Beauty and good guys. And beer. Definitely Germany.

Norway, tho... maybe I should just move to Norway because it's like perfect, right?

I suck at this.

Canada (Toronto feels like a big American city without American politics)
Germany (studied abroad in Berlin. the beer is god tier)
France (Lived there for a summer, incredible place)
Australia (English speaking I guess? Idk maybe New Zealand)
Philippines (mostly because it's where my family is from and I could probably live like a king for the rest of my days, but ehh)

I'm fine here in Australia.

Well, apart from the nbn bullshit, our immigration policy, our lack of recreational marijuana and all these fucking meth heads.

I'd rather not lock this thread (Since there is some good discussion here), so please from here on out. If you make a list put reasons why as well.

Canada: everyone speaks so well about Canada that it is my dream to go live there.
Chile: I think it is well known that Chile is probably one of the best Latin American countries to live.
Germany: I have always been fascinated about Germany and its history.
France: some of the places of France are great to visit, like Eiffel Tower. Plus I wonder if I have some ancestry from France.
Japan: animes, Akihabara, mangas, mapo tofu. Well, watching too much of that media has made me been intrigued about Japan.

Oh tough choices. I'd go with:
1) Japan - so much of what I buy and enjoy comes from there and I've been trying to teach myself the language for the past few years. If I had to move and I could go there, I would.

2) Scotland - Gotta have the place the family hails from, even if it's a long long ass time ago. Plus I hear it's gorgeous.

3) Italy - We're getting more into the places I know less about but want to go to. I know there's delicious food, incredible cities, and beautiful countryside.

4) Canada - Canadians seem cool as hell.

5) Ireland - Hey why not? Seems like a cool place.

If you're being honest with yourself, you know you're really not going to want to go to a country where you would have to completely learn another language. I am skeptical when somebody has something like Iceland or Korea as a top pick.

England
Canada
Austrailia
New Zealand
Sweden
A language can be picked up in 3-4 months if you inmerse yourself on said country/ culture.

If you are starting with English as a base you will be fine. At least as far as Korea and Iceland goes.

Can I just say another part of Canada? There's many countries I'd like to visit but I'd never live full time anywhere else.

Uhh..... One of those Nordic countries with really fucking good health care and social services

I just basically picked what I think are the best ones, and I only picked Japan cause it'd be cool to experience such a different country.

Actually switch out the last one with Spain. It'd be cool as hell to see where the majority of my family came from.

Sweden
New Zealand
Switzerland
South Korea
Japan(mainly Okinawa or even more specific Miyako Island)

The first four are places where I have or had friends and/or family lived and visit with them saying these are pretty good places to stay. I've visited Okinawa for Japan and I do it frequent but man do I love the place.

New Zealand - the least difficulty in moving there from Australia, some nice scenery.
Canada - a nice country, though I'm sensitive to cold so I'd need a new wardrobe
Scotland - I have family there
Britain - I have family there
Hong Kong - I have family there

France (Lové the culture and people, I always get a good vibe when I travel to Paris)

Australia (Never been; seems like a great country from what I've heard and read)

Hong Kong (know nothing about but very curious)

I've lived in New Zealand and Australia and I'd definitely prefer to live in the US. That's about it. Maybe Canada. Not sure I'd really want to live anywhere else, just visit.

Solid social nets, diverse areas of the country, relative amounts of pushback against jackassery (but none of them are completely perfect).

I know a bunch of people in Toronto so given the chance I'd move to Canada in an instant. England, Ireland, or Australia would be my follow ups.

I can only speak English so that's the primary reason for the top 4. Last one is because I have ancestry from there so I guess maybe I can find some king lost relatives to hang with?
