Time exclusive games suck imo. Some dlc stuff is fine for a a short time. Not like Destiny tho.
DMC5 exclusive doesnt do much imo. It will create more blowback and hate etc then it helps the Xbox brand. Its not a game thats tied to Xbox like some other games.
It will not help sales also for the price they paid probably. And Spencer isnt fan of it also.

You could say the exact same thing about Bayonetta and Nintendo. Bayonetta started out as a game strongly tied to the Xbox. Yet here we are.
And this's why it makes no sense for me. It's either mutiplat or ps4/pc.But again nobody expected TR to be timed exclusive so who knows.

Back in the day. Not now anymore imo. The company just did a big reshuffle as they saw releasing ones in 5 years a SP game wasnt very safe anymore. So they needed to change. And they have now different projects.

I would much rather it be a GP thing. I could care less about exclusivity. However, playing the game on a sub I will already be paying for...yes please.

That would be great! I'm a HUGE fan of the Metro games, but not enough people played them. Being part of a popular subscription service could give this IP the attention it deserves.
I agree, timed exclusives are crap no matter who does it, unless they're funding the development in significant capacity. Still, if it does happen, which seems unlikely to me, it's going to be interesting observing the reactions. There was no significant blowback for Crash, right?
No there wasn't. For tomb raider there was. Also I heard that the final fantasy 13 coming to Xbox 360 was epic and the bayo 2 going to Wii U was pretty bad.
Microsoft can say the same thing with DMCV, it just about people trust it or not lol.

Well Crash was timed exclusive to the most popular console, which usually helps with having less blowback. A lot of people don't really care unless it affects them/ a game they want to play.

By the way, from what i remember while Spencer is against timed exclusive content, but he never against timed exclusive games, because i believe he think timed exclusive content=one or more platform players pay same money with less content, meanwhile timed exclusive games=the other platform players won't be again the pay money for a while at all.
I agree with that but in SFV's case Capcom were the ones who came out and said the game wouldn't have happened as soon as it did if Sony didn't come in and bank roll it
And also lots of the original crash fans probably were PlayStation fans so it's possible many were still with PlayStation for those that remained gaming. Crash is the reason I am a PlayStation fan to this day.

Then again, a lot of the discussion around games, especially when it comes to console wars, is.
Sounds like this guy is mainly digging through potentially confusing financial documents and such, which should provide some level of caution here on things that sound as left field as Devil May Cry 5 on Xbox timed exclusive. For all we know it could be timed exclusive for PS4 based on some strange wording that could be misread one way or another? I can't believe that this part makes sense.
To be fair Xbox will always get more blowback then PS really. Just because of history. Also PS has more consoles out and Crash is more tied with PS in general.

I think Microsoft got so much blowback for RotTR because many people associated the IP with Playstation. Xbox gamers would rage as well if the next Mass Effect game would be 1 year exclusive for PS4.
Anyway, personally I agree with you that timed exclusivity for multiplatform games/IP's shouldn't exist. It benefits no gamers at all.

Yeah, this type of explanation could make sense if there is something that seems a certain way in some documents. I just really can't see any type of timed DMC 5 exclusive on Xbox, would be beyond shocking.

Great news since it confirms right away that it IS heading to Xbox as well after all. That's really it. I never post comments with the intention to troll or start any kind of console wars shit posts or what have you.
Either way, if it ends up not being true I think we should doubt the info about the two extra studios as well. Whatever the case in a few days we'll know.
Yeah, only this is logical outcome in whole 'exclusivity' thingy, if there is any in first place.
Just like tomb raider, I don't really relate the DMC series with Xbox. While it w ou I'd be fun reading people's thoughts if it does happen I just don't see this being a major win for Xbox, especially with the timed bs again.
