I think 70 is being optimistic, if you're going to make it arcadey fun don't have people die when they're going break neck speed and touch a tree.

The most fun I had in a multiplayer driving game since Blur.
I love it.
Thanks for the impressions in the hype thread. Those plus the DF vid made me buy this and it's fucking fantastic. Level cap is 400!? Good god I might get there at some point.

70 - 79 my guess. My Metascore guess is 84. Think this will do a lot better than people expect.
I'm not sure about physical copies, but I know that the digital review codes went out on May 30th. May want to check in with your contact again just to be sure.I was supposed to get a review copy 2 weeks ago and it never came. I might just go out and buy the game now, but I'd be annoyed if I end up with 2 copies. I just want to play Onrush...
So, the game is out, right? Is it a rolling midnight release? If so, I'm surprised there's not more people talking about the game yet.

Review copies should have been sent out last Tuesday to everyone. PM me if you need help getting a code.I was supposed to get a review copy 2 weeks ago and it never came. I might just go out and buy the game now, but I'd be annoyed if I end up with 2 copies. I just want to play Onrush...
Repetitive gameplay and high price prevent Onrush from becoming a new benchmark in racing genre, but it can still be fun for die hard fans of arcade racing. 7.0/10
You are a different MW from Gaf and TXB? Never saw that guy say so much or that much positive stuff. Thanks for the impressions in the hype thread. Those plus the DF vid made me buy this and it's fucking fantastic. Level cap is 400!? Good god I might get there at some point.
hmm i could buy it off a friend for 40€, he bought it and absolutely didn´t like it. Problem is, i wasn´t too hot on the Beta, but for a round here and there it seemed like fun.
the big question is: are the take downs improved in the final release or does it still feel a little random?
Glad it helped, it is a great arcade racer with a twist. A ton of fun, but its life will depend on online groups and continued updates to the title, but using Driveclub as a barometer, the team can deliver huge additions over time and many free.Great review, thanks for that.
Helped a lot in making my decision to give it a shot.
I'm still afraid that might just die in a few weeks - but hey if that happens I'll just enjoy it until then.
I'm curious to see how this one will play out and there is currently nothing else like this.
Excellent review.https://www.gtplanet.net/onrush-playstation-4-review/
My review is also live, I can't wait to see what's next for OnRush. :)
I was specifically worried about the night races for that reason. Also had concerns about the difficulty as many prior games from this developer got way to hard at some point and stopped being fun. Can you select difficulty in the campaign?Want to share my thoughts on the game here. I've put close to 15 hours in this weekend and have had a lot of fun with it. However if I was scoring it I'd give it a 7/10. My main issues with the game is it does start to get old after awhile with there only being four modes and 12 maps. The different times of day and weather do help with this but not enough. One big issue I find is that when racing at night or in the snow or even worse when those two are mixed, it can be very hard to see anything. My rate of crashing skyrockets when under those conditions. Things are just too busy at times imo.
I also find there to be issues with the AI. Many, many times I feel like I have no control over winning events because my AI teammates just aren't doing what they should be while the enemy AI is always grouped up and working on whatever objective we are working towards. This gets worse and worse the further you go in the single player. Even playing some custom games with the difficulty set to very easy I still found my team losing more often than winning. On that difficulty that shouldn't really be a thing. Other minor issues with the game include not being able to skip the scoreboard at the end and the daily mission constantly popping up telling you how much time you have until the next mission after every round.
Regardless It does say a lot that I've still been playing the game after as much time as I've already put into it despite these issues.
Well, Blur killed Bizarre. Not the greatest comparison. The problem is obvious: Blur and OnRush are not exactly racing games anymore. As such they appeal to an even smaller niche than racing games in general while failing to attract those that ignore racing games to begin with. Focus on multiplayer and you are cutting that niche of a niche in half. OnRush will fail, I have no doubt. It's just the question if they will fail studio killing hard or one final shot hard. Best case scenario would be if Codemasters gave them Grid … nevermind, just saw that they buried that franchise four years ago.The most fun I had in a multiplayer driving game since Blur.

I hate to admit it, but I do think there is some truth in this post. This game isn't going to draw in casuals who aren't into racing games. To any casual observer it looks like a racing game. So who is it's audience? A percentage of arcade racing fans who are ok with it not being a traditional racing game. That just isn't going to be a lot of people.Well, Blur killed Bizarre. Thanks man! It was a fun write up.
