2019 brining iOS apps to Mac via new frameworks. Stocks, Home, News are all the iOS apps built using these new frameworks. Wow!
Yes, it seems the path they are taking with UI changes and easily porting is the way to go. In the future you can just code an Apple App and it can easily port between the platforms.
I would bet on Fall 2019, yeah. Detailed exactly a year from now
Feral Games ports AAA games continuously. Valve just started using MoltenVK.
It's uncomparable to what it was like even 3-4 years ago.
Probably Fall 2019. Next WWDC will be devoted to it, and and it'll give developers a few months before whatever next year's macOS comes out.
the great thing about the ease of porting is that there's a lot of apps that people can now use and look forward to on their mac, without entertaining the dumies who actually want ios on their macs
Metal and eGPUs didn't get as much love as I hoped. Maybe improvements are there but there wasn't time. As always, we will find out soon.

People wanted UIKit for mac to port iOS apps easily but adapt the UI to the desktop environment.
Nah. Mac is a great machine but sucks for games. In the end you'll install Windows.
