I hate Siri. When they say "for instance" I know these are very specific examples that siri will be able to do, but I don't care about them.

Seriously getting 3rd party skills like Alexa is fucking amazing! If it gets good support I may actually get a Homepod some day.

Macros could be helpful to automatically take anything the OS ever decides to open in Apple Maps and open it in Google Maps instead.

Would quite like to move on to OSX now.

the workflow/iftttt stuff in Siri/Shortcuts is very cool - I feel like Siri still has trouble with consistency and with the quality of basic voice-to-text-to-instruction stuff, but this'll at least put the actual featureset/interoperability at alexa levels pretty quickly

Apple pushing AR hard to get a foundation set before the eventual iGlasses come out...

At least I hope that's what they are doing... because in its current form its nothing but a gimmick. And a boring/exhausting one at that.

I wonder if Shortcuts will have the ability to do OS-level things like change my notification settings, volume, Wi-Fi, etc.

The workflow stuff seems cool, but it seems like a stopgap until Apple can improve Siri enough to figure out how to build these actions on its own from user requests.
