Of course. How could I forget, lol.
Sales for P3D and P5D are rather poor, which is no surprise to me, and I have to wonder if it's a surprise to Atlus.
I feel like these releases were rather experimental for Atlus. Bluntly put, a lot of it could have been to test how much they could gouge fans. I feel like the two-release format, the fact that the development cycle was fast and not resource intensive for these two games, and that Wada decided he didn't need to be director on these since he had more important things to work on are indicative of that.
- Two full priced games released at the same time.
- Low content value for both games (no story mode, low amount of songs, bare-bones overall)
- Lack of novelty compared to P4D
- Very large amount of DLC right out of the gate
So low sales and the fact that P3D and P5D are not a hit is a good thing. It won't give them the wrong idea moving forward, thinking that they can sell just based on the name alone.
I can't believe how bad these remixed tracks are
Beneath the Mask is a catastrophe
You're trash
Ahahaha ohhh noo I forgot about that. So it's that bar on the top left and if you fuck up a few notes too quickly in succession it's basically an auto-fail regardless of how well you did up until then. Legitimately one of the most idiotic mechanics I've seen in a rhythm game.
Got the platinum trophy for P5D. Despite a few issues i really enjoyed the game, liked most of the remixes and dressing up the characters was fun, COMMU is a good replacement for story mode too. Managed to get 20+ hours in just P5D alone somehow so i'm happy.
Do you have a list for a trophy guide? And for P3D :<?
The game is fun, I love every song that I have encountered but fuck if the game as whole is not bland. P4D felt more complete than both P3D and P5D
Thanks!I've found a trophy guide here:http://blog.kouhi.me/persona-5-dancing-star-night-trophy-guide/#general
P3D should be the same I think.
Yeah seemed that this would be the most likely case.Speculation? P3/P5 Dancing titles headed to E3? https://www.bemanistyle.com/is-atlu...dancing-titles-to-e3-2018-it-surely-looks-it/
The main dancer can't be changed. Backup dancers are unlocked based on which difficulty you picked, but you can just scroll down to them and change it to ones you've already unlocked in the menu right after picking the song.Quick question, how do you unlock/choose other characters for each song? Some songs that had the MC in it from the first time I played are now random characters and I nave no idea to switch back. Also I wanna switch some characters in other songs too.
Anyone know how?
Got it, thanks. I messed with the options, made note speeds slow and other things. finished hard difficulty. Now hardest difficulty is something else even with those options haha...The main dancer can't be changed. my eyesight isn't really the best, even with my glasses on. I had it slower to get through hard mode. Having it slow for the hardest difficulty makes it still feel hard. I can't imagine the faster option will do any better.I like Commu more than P4D for unlocks because in P4D you had to play through story mode to get everything, which included playing everything on easy. In P3/5D you can just stick all the outfit options on random and get 90% of the objectives by playing normally.
Make notes faster, not slower. Much easier to read when you get used to it.
It's actually a fairly universal thing in rhythm games - once the muscle memory is learned, faster is always easier to read. The slower the note speed, the more difficult it is to gauge correct timing, and too much information is provided, leading to overload.my eyesight isn't really the best, even with my glasses on. Seconding this. Slowing down the notes too much will actively make it way harder, while speeding it up should help a bunch if you find the right setting for yourself. It's actually a fairly universal thing in rhythm games - once the muscle memory is learned, faster is always easier to read. In some games, people go so far as to obscure a portion of the screen to avoid information overload. The screen layout of this game doesn't really let you do that effectively, but just turning the speed on helps.
These were recorded with the speed almost as high as the game allows. There is no memorization involved - in both cases, it was the very first time I played the chart:

I will say that I found it less helpful than usual with P4D (haven't gotten the new ones yet) because of its weird layout, but it is a pretty reliable general rule of thumb.I guess I need more practice then to actually figure this out. you state is muscle memory that will come with practice. I can agree with that at least when i recently played on the normal speed on normal and hard difficulties. I did better than I thought. That is normal, you guys are saying speed it up so I will have to mess with it.
There's a slowdown? On PS4 or Vita? The slowdown whenever two characters are on screen is such a bummer. Fucks up my combos almost every time
Vita. Framerate dips to low 20s and note speed become noticeably choppy
Different things work for different people, but I find it easier not to stress out over getting a full combo too much. Give it three or four attempts, but drilling it eventually becomes counterproductive and just gets you more and more frustrated.Trying my best to just get 1 measly song done on Hard with King Crazy. Almost there with Willpower (Shacho remix)
I've never been able to do All Night not in 4 either. I don't think I ever will be. Only a select few songs in 4 I can do on Hard because the rhythm is fast and easy to follow. In 5 there seems to be less so far for me. :(Different things work for different people, but I find it easier not to stress out over getting a full combo too much. For this game in particular, I suggest moving on to All Night as soon as possible, in order to avoid building muscle memory around the limitations built into the lower difficulties (chords always being parallel inputs, double holds always ending on the same note, etc.)

I did finally manage this one though!
