Jay confirmed in the latest episode of Best of the Worst that the Half in the Bag series had ended. So yeah, that was probably because Mike is gone forever, and not because Jay was drunk and can't keep his show's names straight anymore.

I'm seeing the announcement for Mike leaving as being a screenshot from patreon only visible to $5+ donors. I'm pretty certain it's bullshit. They wouldn't make such a major announcement locked behind a paywall.
Clearly the backlash for them liking Solo was so great that Mike realized they truly were the Hack Frauds the whole time.

They peaked with The Order 1886. Most of the time they really aren't that insightful and the live streams are only interesting when Jay is there.
I've never even heard of the game they played. From what I can tell it's some boring mech game. At least from the thumbnail and name.
If they think leaning into it's going to make it stop... they are in for a Grand Slam of a disappointment.

Fast forward several years, and the original founder of FASA comes out of nowhere, says that he's "borrowed" the Shadowrun IP back from Microsoft, and launches a kickstarter to bring Shadowrun back, this time the right way. Shadowrun Returns comes out and it's a huge hit.
This Battletech game was basically his next project, intended to do for Battletech/Mechwarrior what Shadowrun Returns did for Shadowrun. Honestly, I never had high expectations for it, because Mechwarrior at it's height was a triple-A game, and these guys are just too small/don't have enough money. They're absolutely capable of getting the atmosphere of Battletech perfectly right (because they're the ones who invented it), but Battletech needs more than just atmosphere, and I think they bit off a bit more than they could chew with this one.

Don't really care about their opinions on videogames, but their streams are awful and made me hate Rich as a person (as far as a person can come through in a stream, I obviously don't know him personally). As a character he's fine, and I don't mind him in the other content, but on streams he's awful. I'm generally not offended by anything they do, and give them a lot of leeway in some ignorant views because I don't think they are malicious and we all have our blindspots, but Rich really does come through as an ugly person sometimes.
The last twitch stream of theirs I saw went something like this:
- Somehow the subject of rape gets brought up for the hundredth time
- *Chat makes rape jokes*
- Jack: Chat, don't make rape jokes
- Rich: Yeah don't, but rape jokes can be funny
- Chat: you guys made a Star Trek video that was essentially a rape joke
- Jack: well...
- Rich: yeah, because rape can be funny
- Jack: it was more about the movie being enjoyable despite its flaws
- Jack: but don't do it on chat please
- Rich: did you know... did you know rape victims have been known to have orgasms while they are being raped?
- Jack: Rich pls don't
- Rich: I'm just saying, it's scientifically true
- Jack: please stop talking about rape

I wouldn't say i've grown to hate him, Just very disappointed as time has gone by, he comes across more and more as one of those Reddit atheist dickheads, that all about "reason" and Logic" so therefore can't be racist etc etc...
And it's not just him , but RLM in general. for a recent example, i was really enjoying the Solo review until they went in on their SJW bullshit. *sigh*
That's Rich (and partly Mike) in a nutshell. I can see why Shy or someone else here doesn't like Jack, because he basically lets this stuff go in order to keep the peace. I dunno, I still have the stream on in the background sometimes when I'm doing something and I kind of want to hear them talk about some movie or whatever, but at this point where it's almost ethically impossible to separate people from their creations, I'm admittedly finding it harder to justify. :p
I kind of wish they'd just do Jay and Jack streams and have Rich edit their RLM videos instead. lol
