Man the more hip hop releases we get

The more DS2 is being solidified as an all time classic

like wow, it's better than so many other modern projects

Rodeo as well

Man time changes fast. last time Kanye dropped an album the hype was so high it killed the shittiest supreme court justice and this time around we're at "Paul Ryan got an ingrown toenail" level at best :'(

IDK what this Kanye thing is, but it's weak as hell. Bottom tier project. No inspiration, no ambition, no flow, no cohesion. With every successive album Kanye becomes a worse presence on his own tracks.

I know I'll still be bumping to it, but yeah. It's really some stretches that keep this thing alive, just like with TLOP.

It's fine. Kids See Ghost will be better.

Ay, none of us would be here without cum

..if you would have told me years ago that I would like a Pusha T album way more than a Kanye West album, I would have laughed at you.

This shit right here is nothing. No lessons have been learned from TLOP

imagine you stanned for Ye all year

through the MAGA, through the Slavery option select, through the white power, through the wire, through the fire

you still standing, still strong, on your Antwoine Fisher shit. You know ya boy Ye gon come through. "My nigga always been crazy" you think "but he got more classics than I can count on one hand, I can seperate the art from the artist, he bout to drop AOTY tbh tbh"

and the day comes, and he puts out a 7 song album with a bandcamp cover he scribbled on. And the only song is a MDBTF b-side(Ghost Town).

how you gotta be feeling right now

Wait until 75% of that thread realizes this is worse than TLOP

FML is better than every single song on this album by an insane margin

Real Friends, NMPILA, Famous, Fixed Wolves, and Fade are all better than everything as well

The most frustrating thing about this album is where you can see the pure talent and experience shining through.

I Thought About Killing You could really be something, but 75% of the song is a dumb monologue. Wouldn't Leave feels like half of an idea to a good song No Mistakes is SO CLOSE to being an anthem, but it just feels unfinished. Ghost Town is the type of fun dumb song that would be awesome as like........ the change of pace song on a great album. But none of it comes together at all.

TLOP blows this out of the water. I mean, this album could've been somewhat redeemable if it was also loaded with a Ultralight Beam/FSMH Pt 1 combo off the jump, but this just doesn't have anything like that.

What a disappointment. I mean its not a surprise going by his recent manoeuvres. TBH I'm just holding out for the Nas album. This is the longest (6 years) break he's had between releasing projects.

I don't think the album is bad as a whole, but Ye's lyrics are consistently wack. Sonically it's very cool, and I would love to give this album to anyone else to replace Ye's parts

Very underwhelming

Oh shit the new YE album is trash?

Damn, guess him walking around with his whole ass out for months, wasn't worth it. Beyond just not being worth it in general

I love 50 lmao

So wtf this shit ain't on Spotify? Where yall listening? Man just woke up at 6 am to grt this loaded for an early gym session and it's no where to be found :/

First half the album easily the worst Ye of all time, second half is transcendent.

These posts are a pretty accurate timeline of me before during and after of how I feel about the album. Yeah its not great but its hardly bad either.

This post is the equivalent of looking at you ex's IG pics around you boys and being like "She was way finer when she was with me".

For people with no ears maybe, the rest of us know the deal tho

Lmao. I liked TLOP. Some great songs on there, terrible album but some good songs. It almost sounds like a mixtape with songs half done and shit

I thought about killing you just sounds like the ramblings of an abuser, given my experience with such things... not quite into it. The beat is neat.

Ghost town is interesting.

The rest isn't even trash, just...meh

Yeah the production is the highlight for the songs. For the most part. Gimme the instrumental version of this.
