Now that the Pocket Men Hey You Pikachu and Jigglypuff have been announced, let's look back at past leaks.
Taking a lot of this from the awesome
Leak Review website that you should all check out and follow on Twitter.
Back in March, this blurry image of a trainer riding a Lapras came out of Chinese forums.
Pokejungle detailed an accurate description of the picture and then posted it a few days later after it started to leak on Discord. Many assumed it was a fake, possibly a Citra mod from UltraSun/UltraMoon. Though this exact image was not in the trailer, it is clearly from the Let's Go games as the graphical style, Eevee, trainer design, and overworld Pokemon are accurate to the final version of the game. Therefore it turned out to be a legitimate leak.
On the holy day of April 1st, this info was leaked on 4Chan. Everything is true though we don't know about online hubs at the moment.
Around this time, Twitter user PixelPar would occasionally release drawings that hinted at the new game being a Yellow remake.
It is worth nothing that he did tweet something early on that was completely false.
On May 15th, the Japanese logo for Let's Go Pikachu was leaked along with claims of an Eevee version.
Here is some assorted BS:
Other dumb rumors:
+Pokemon Switch takes place in Kanto 100 years in the future featuring a Pallet Town submerged underwater
+Tradition vs. Innovation will be a core aspect of the story
+Spain/Italy being the basis for the new region
+Motion control Z moves
There's a lot of other tweets from Masuda or other official Pokemon related accounts that heavily hint towards the Pikachu/Eevee pairing. For now Pokemon rumors can rest... until later this year when they flare up again with people claiming to have info on the 2019 games.
