Why is this here, ReyVGM? im really intrigued, as far as i know Zell doesnt have just nintendo info, since he said 1 hour before Detroit date announcement it would be happening, so...

Whoops, you are right. Since they were talking about Nintendo games, I thought he was referring to a Nintendo game too. I'll remove it unless he specifies if the tease was about Nintendo or not.

I'm really impressed on the high degree of accuracy that Emily got in her blog about the Pokemon games (that release in November).

Hey guys, new here. Created an account because I feel I got a leak with some legitimacy to it, but obviously can't create a thread because I'm new here. Any recommendations on where I should post this ?
Posted it on the Nintendo Switch subreddit but it got removed because of lack of evidence. It's true I got none, it's just a thing some guy posted on the Nintendo Switch Collectors discord, and there's just a legit feel about it.

Posting rumors/leaks without confirming with a moderator the legitimacy of the person that gave you the info will just get you banned.

Judging by your own comments, it doesn't seem you even know or trust the person that posted such leak, so the best thing is to not say anything without talking to a mod first.

Is the info just being passed from a Reddit post? I'm confused about the origins of the info they want to share.

That sounds like the least legitimate thing I've heard

Isn't that just the leaked image of the signs?

This is my I love E3 time, we getting excited for possible announcements of games, which then will lead to us being excited when the games are shown, which will then produce excitement when those games are finally released.

Excitement to get us excited!

Umm, you are one of a kind then, because this is what actually happens on the internet.

"we getting excited for possible announcements of games, which then will lead to us being let down when the games are shown, which will then produce even more disappointment when those games are finally released because it's not 60fps or it's not priced the way we want."

Wow, 4chan leaks have been on the nose so far. First Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee, then Fortnite, and now what looks to possibly be Bayonetta 3 details.

Nah, the Bayo stuff looks like a pretty standard fake leak. I wouldn't put much stock into it.

And remember, for every accurate 4chan leak there are probably ~1000 fake ones.

Well, it's proof enough you can't discredit them altogether.

Uhh no. 4chan isn't a person, or a curated site, or an office, or any place that has some semblance of responsibility.

Just because there have been a couple of good leaks coming from there does not give them any credibility. The good leaks are the one you see, but there are dozens of fake leaks posted daily for every medium. 4chan is an annonymous place where anyone can say and do anything they want without having to confirm or provide sources. So whoever leaked one accurate thing, might never leak ever again. And that does not make every other different leaker more "credible".

And Fortnite has been rumored for a long time before this 4chan leak.

There's a secret campaign happening for "4chan" to be taken seriously as a rumor/leak source for some reason and I don't get why. Do people want to desperately to get disappointed/overhyped by a million fakes just to get a legit one once in a blue moon?

Well, it's proof enough you can't discredit them altogether.

Treat 4chan leaks like you would Twitter, Facebook or Reddit leaks. Its a massive, barely moderated community. Any accurate leaks can extend credibility to the specific user who posted them, but not to the platform as a whole.

Now that the Pocket Men Hey You Pikachu and Jigglypuff have been announced, let's look back at past leaks.

Taking a lot of this from the awesome Leak Review website that you should all check out and follow on Twitter.

Back in March, this blurry image of a trainer riding a Lapras came out of Chinese forums.

mysterious-lapras-image.jpg

Pokejungle detailed an accurate description of the picture and then posted it a few days later after it started to leak on Discord. Many assumed it was a fake, possibly a Citra mod from UltraSun/UltraMoon. Though this exact image was not in the trailer, it is clearly from the Let's Go games as the graphical style, Eevee, trainer design, and overworld Pokemon are accurate to the final version of the game. Therefore it turned out to be a legitimate leak.

On the holy day of April 1st, this info was leaked on 4Chan. Everything is true though we don't know about online hubs at the moment.
DeaM5ddWsAAAjjx.jpg

Around this time, Twitter user PixelPar would occasionally release drawings that hinted at the new game being a Yellow remake.
DdPV4rhW4AAzvyn.jpg

It is worth nothing that he did tweet something early on that was completely false.

On May 15th, the Japanese logo for Let's Go Pikachu was leaked along with claims of an Eevee version.

Other dumb rumors:
+Pokemon Switch takes place in Kanto 100 years in the future featuring a Pallet Town submerged underwater
+Tradition vs. Innovation will be a core aspect of the story
+Spain/Italy being the basis for the new region
+Motion control Z moves

There's a lot of other tweets from Masuda or other official Pokemon related accounts that heavily hint towards the Pikachu/Eevee pairing. For now Pokemon rumors can rest... until later this year when they flare up again with people claiming to have info on the 2019 games.

The amount of credible leaks on 4chan is pretty big. This is of course because it's a big forum (so there are plenty of leaks, most of them false) and also it guarantees anonymity more than many other platforms. The most detailed leaks of the past few years, Switch-related, came from 4chan. For example, the January Direct line-up and Pokémon info.

Myself as well, when I had to leak something, went to 4chan.

Thanks, the stuff from credible places was already added, minus a few of the ones you mentioned which I added. The BS stuff that comes from randos or 4chan will not be added as per the rules of not posting 4chan rumors unless they turn out to be true. Too many fakes to bother. Doesn't help that the direct links go dead too after some time.

One thing to note actually is that pokejungle was not the first to publicly post the Lapras image. They talked about having it but didn't want to release it unless they could prove it fake in case anyones job would be at risk (they said,) pixelpar actually released it first and then pokejungle did after him.

This is half correct. He said that Resident Evil VII comes to the Switch with VR support. This game is now available on the Switch (but there is currently no VR support)

Not exactly. He said it was going to come to Nintendo's VR machine. There's no VR machine. He didn't say "support", he actually claimed Nintendo was working on a Switch VR that would be more powerful.

Now, Nintendo could have very well been working on one, and there's the remote chance Capcom might have had dev kits for it. But unless they confirm that, there's no way for us to know.

I honestly think whoever leaked that to him was just bullshtiting him. There's no way that in December 2016, anyone could have known RE7 was coming to Switch. Unlike games you actually have to develop for a specific system, games over the cloud don't need years of development to run on a system. So yeah, I don't think he had real info there. Capcom might have been working on setting up the cloud service back then, but not with a specific game in mind, much less RE7 that wasn't even out by the time he leaked this info.

plus, his rumor was probably more based off of the "capcom porting the RE engine to Switch" that was part of that "specs bump"-talk. in no way can we draw a serious line from that to the cloud release.

Not the most reliable source I know, but gameblog also stated in 2016 that resident evil VII was coming to switch. And they also stated that some form of vr was in the work

I'm near positive LeakyPandy is not credible, unfortunately. Nothing related to Smash in August or Fortnite Save the World at all. In general a lot of the hype rumors from pre launch ended up bunk as I don't think any sort of GCN rereleases are happening. Announcing Melee on eShop after the show would have been ace

That was pretty much given when they aligned themselves with Sellars back under the Vandal Leaks banner. Cannot think of a single credible rando who just exists on twitter and tweets like that.
