The build Alpha members got yesterday was labeled a June build, so the answer is always sometime in June "when it's ready". Unclear if Groups are locked into the June release though, as they originally made their way to some Alpha users in May builds, but they went back and made some changes to them.

They halted the rollout and made some changes to them based on feedback. See yesterday's patch notes in this thread for a few changes they made.
I still don't have the Game Pass, Gold & EA Access categories, despite even normal, not preview user having them for a long time now. The whole system doesn't make sense, don't think about it.
Had the same issues (Germany as well like you) but 1 week ago those categories showed up after doing a hard reset.
Non-preview users have them? I have three systems in the Preview program and none have those categories (only the Subscriptions category).

All alpha users should have groups as of the 6pm pacific time build today. First reaction: why the consolidation of Games & Apps and Groups/Pins in the guide? Doesn't seem like that streamlining was necessary and it creates an extra button press to get to Games & Apps. My pins were killed as well, which I assume is a bug right now and not the intended final user experience? I would assume your Pins would become your first Group by default.
Yeah I'm not a fan of the new consolidation either. Would have preferred the pins button just be released with groups.
Holy shit. The groups feature is so awesome. Coupled with the customization of the main page makes it very very very very awesome :P
There are a couple of bugs, which I'm reporting, and I also don't link unifying the games and apps with the groups button, but it's already incredible. I really like that you can go crazy with how many pins a group can have.
Oh, and please add feedback to allow us to pin store content. If Ms don't want to give me a wishlist feature I'll make mine lol

While I don't like that unification of the two buttons in the guide, I did quickly make a couple groups for the games in my rotation and the media apps I typically use, and it is a pretty slick experience.

How to find the Groups of games and apps feature:
- [Guide] If you were looking for the Pins button in Guide, instead click on the "My games & apps" button – we've combined Groups/Pins with "My games & apps" to put all your stuff in one convenient location for quick access!
- [My games & apps] If you go into "My games & apps" you will see a new tab on the left for your "Groups" – Pins will be your first Group and you can create more from there
- [Home] If you go to Home you will still have access to your Pins block and can add other Groups to Home after you create them
- Note: You may need to sign in/out again if you are not seeing Groups in "My games & apps" or your Pins block loading as expected after your first sign-in. If you do not see your Pins as the first Group, go to "My games & apps" > Groups and choose to reset your local Groups data

- Fixed an issue where some users were not seeing the currently active title in the list of Recently used games & apps.
- Fixed an issue where the "Add more" or "Create a group" page for Groups would not show all installed content when filtering
- Fixed some issues related to editing Groups not properly being reflected across multiple consoles that all have Groups enabled
- Fixed an issue in which some users were experiencing issues with USB webcams while broadcasting.
- Fixed an issue where some users would not see the broadcast overlay or appear as broadcasting in the Guide.

Known Issues:
Groups
- A few users are still experiencing the blank names for Groups. Workaround: You may need to rename these Groups if the local reset did not clear up the issue for you.
- The Groups tab My games & apps may not show after sign in even though you can access Groups in Guide. Workaround: Sign in / out to refresh these pages.
- You may see "This group does not exist" on Home on first sign-in for your existing Groups. Workaround: Sign in / out to refresh these pages.
- Some changes might not be reflected when editing Groups between multiple consoles after coming out of connected standby. Sign in/out to fix.
- Titles hidden from Ready to install will show up as an item you can add through the "Add more" or "Create a group" page
- Choosing "Add to Home" for a game within a group will not add the block to Home
- You may see issues roaming between a GA console and preview 1806 console. Workaround: Choose to reset your Groups locally to resync from the service.
- Resetting Groups – local re-sync or reset everywhere: We've updated the reset button at the bottom of the Groups page in "My games & apps" so now you can delete your local Groups data and re-sync with the service. This will clear up a lot of issues that may have occurred due to bad states or if data is not showing up as expected. You can still delete from everywhere if you want a fresh start with Groups.
- You may need to sign in / out for the pages to refresh afterwards.
- Note: If you are still seeing issues after performing a local reset and/or sign in/out, please make sure to file a bug so the team can investigate
- Sometimes users may encounter an incorrect Profile color when powering on the console.
- Work continues on the stability of the Wi-Fi connectivity. If you see any issues please report the problems for investigation.
- Some users are encountering an issue where their YouTube account is being signed out whenever they launch the app.
- Workaround: Uninstall/re-install the app and sign in with your account again.

Microsoft previously announced a few months ago that the Xbox Rewards program would merge with Microsoft Rewards, and today we're seeing the first fruits of that labor. Indeed, the company has just announced that an app for Microsoft Rewards is now available for Preview Alpha Xbox Insiders on Xbox One.
The app will be the home for joining Microsoft Rewards and finding or redeeming "exclusive offers just for Xbox fans". Of course, it also can be used to redeem points for Microsoft Store gift cards, and check up on how many points are available for searching on Bing and buying products in the store.
Preview Alpha Insiders can try out the Microsoft Rewards app today on Xbox by opening the Xbox Insider Hub and clicking through to the "Insider Content" page. Not everyone will be seeing it right away, and Microsoft says it will be rolling the app out to more Xbox Insiders in the coming weeks.
For now, this app is only available for Insiders in the United States and Canada. Microsoft plans to roll it out to additional Microsoft Rewards markets soon.

has anyone had issues with HDR pass through after recent updates? As in hdr worked prior to updates with all connected devices (AVR/TV) but now the xbox cannot pick up the hdr anymore?
just keep doing quests and fill in reports and you maybe will get selected for the Alpha ring
Report the problem. They should travel with your profile. (Of course both consoles need to be able to use the group feature.)
And / or see the changlog (#514) for workarounds.

What is this shit? Why can't they just release a firmware with new features and everyone has them, like Sony, is that so hard?
First and third category are absolutely the same, how can I fix this shit?
Also I can't delete every pin, the avatar pin can't get deleted for some reason. It's annoying.

Well yes, it is hard, and you can imagine how bad it would be if the bugs you're seeing here went out to tens of millions of customers.
Since you are a part of the preview program, I assume that you have held the home button and reported feedback for each of these issues? Because if you're complaining about problems like this but you haven't reported these issues, why did you even opt-in to the preview program in the first place?
Sure I report them on the console but the problem here is that the GamePass/Gold/EA categories aren't preview only features anymore for a long time now (I heard that from several people without preview program) and while many normal users have them, I still have not, after how many months now, 3? 4? and that's just super awkward.
Plus the new, pretty ridiculous, problem just adds to it.
I'm not here to hate on the program, though I also don't have the tabs for gold/game pass/EA Access after months of that being in retail builds in the beta.

I bet they held the new avatars back to have games that integrate them ready. Hopefully at E3 we can get some free Avatar Games without kinect.

If I remember correctly then there was at least one quest / survey regarding avatars for insiders. But I don't know any more what that was about.
Edge Did you try resetting your System? (You can do that in the options without loosing installed games.)

If you think you are missing a feature that you are supposed to have - features released to the public at this point, not just available to Insiders - that's a good complaint to bring to Xbox Support and also continue filing feedback with the Insider program.
It could be that your Insider / preview build membership is screwing with variables which don't affect retail users, for example a service-side configuration made for your account because you're in preview builds.

No, Game Pass and Games with Gold are their own sections if you have that feature rolled out to your Games & Apps.
If you dont want bugs on your dashboard, remove your console from betas, why people are surprised at things going wrong when they are enrolled into a beta program is beyond me.I shouldn't have said anything..... Now it looks like this and it doesn't even scroll down.

Oh shit. As someone who treats Microsoft rewards like a religion, that new app makes me tempted to jump back into the preview program. I told myself I didn't want to do it on my One X, but free money is free money.
