He's only M'Baku in the movies specifically because "Man-Ape" is unacceptable.

"We don't call him Man-Ape," executive producer Nate Moore told EW during our set visit. "We do call him M'Baku."

The problem was self-evident. "Having a black character dress up as an ape, I think there's a lot of racial implications that don't sit well, if done wrong," said Moore. "But the idea that they worship the gorilla gods is interesting because it's a movie about the Black Panther who, himself, is a sort of deity in his own right."

I have seen some stupid ass arguments to defend her bullshit but this is the worst by far and away

The character specifically never called "Man-Ape" once in the film because it had racial connotations, which the producers even talked about. It's clear that person never actually saw Black Panther and was just trawling "black films" for false equivalencies to bandy about.

"Don't be racist in public" has got to be one of the easiest things a human can do yet so many can't even pass that bar.

Make a new show called "Dan" and have John Goodman just sit and tell stories about his life for 20 minutes. 10 episodes a season.

I'm sure Walmart is still stocking the complete series DVD for 25 bucks, go pick that up

Uh... I'm not planning to? I don't like the show and I don't like her. I saw some comments by Trump supporters saying another network can pick this up and thought I would check with you guys. Weird comment to post.

I'm just imagining a bunch of sleepy KKK members dozing off on Ambien as they catch their robes on fire.

That's because the definition of "in public" has changed for a lot of people that still can't wrap their minds around the internet being "real". I can almost guarantee that if social media didn't exist, a pretty decent chunk of these controversies wouldn't be happening. You'd get a Mel Gibson every now and then and this one would probably still happen because Roseanne is fucking nuts, but the things actual sane people say behind closed doors are now out in the open because they don't understand the concept of digital platforms.

User Banned (5 Days): Downplaying racism as a symptom of mental health issues
The woman is mentally ill. She needs to go away and get some rest. She committed no crimes she just has fucked up insides/ideas. ABC knew this when they hired her. A good amount of her audience knew this but still watched. She was punished but now we are seeing shadenfreude at its finest. The victim of her gross words gave less fucks tha some ofoyou do. We need to fucking move on and let her drift back into Oblivion.

Want to pick up on poison, because that's what it is now.

Man in this day and age, I don't trust networks. I know Roseanne was a huge hit with ratings, and I feel like if a network picks it up it'll be bigger and set a bad precident. I really don't want that to happen :/.

Just looking at twitter and a lot of comments by conservatives they feel confident this show will be picked up again. Roseanne herself doesn't even seems like she shows any remorse ffs.

At the very least it seems like the other cast members disagreed with her and her comments, so we know if it's picked up again they won't be joining her.
