"For the first time, a Lego game will give players the ability to create and play as their own DC Super-Villain throughout the game. Their character becomes the center of the story, while teaming up with a variety of villains to adventure through the funny and original story written in collaboration with DC."

Releases October 16 on PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.

That was super-short. And Joker leads the DC villains in taking over a city - would not have guessed!

So what's in the boxes that they are so thick? A minifig, or something more?

Ninjago Movie and Marvel Superheroes 2 were very good on the Switch, both docked and handheld, so I expect that to continue here.

My kid and I just saw the Lego DC Flash movie, was pretty good. We'll see if it's Troy Baker and Nolan North as Batman and Superman again, assuming they show up in this game.

Some mentioned you'll get a Lex Luthor Superman minifig so probably that.

Yeah wish the title had 'LEGO' in it. I got all excited thinking yeah finally they are making a superhero game that's not a fighting game for consoles. But nah it's another Lego game. [edit- I see a mod fixed the title, sweet! Thanks!]

Now I would check with the kids to see if they'd play it but since its not on Switch/WiiU thats a no-go

Hopefully they'll spread the roster of villains out, and not just be Batman-enemies and friends. Although considering the teaser had just the Joker, Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy, I'm not too optimistic.

Yeah, the bonus minifig is Rebirth Lex Luthor.

To be fair, trailer also had the Reverse Flash, clearly Lex Luthor is in it
The poster has Grodd and Darkseid

So it will at least have some Superman and Flash stuff in it. But I'm not worried for the LEGO games doing a deep dive.

Seems like a fun concept.

Can we not link parasitic reuploaders like MKIceAndFire though? That shit bugs me.

So the story is loosely based on Forever Evil? Wasn't a great comic, but I can see the premise working here.

In Lego DC Super-Villains, the Justice League has disappeared, leaving Earth's protection to a newcomer group of heroes from a parallel universe, proclaiming themselves as the 'Justice Syndicate.' Villains from the 'Legion Of Doom' discover Earth's newest heroes may not be the heroes they claim to be. With each player's completely customizable Super-Villain character in command, this team of misfit lawbreakers must join forces to discover and foil the evil plans the incognito strangers have in store.

Wait, this is basically the video game adaptation of Forever Evil? I did not expect that from a Lego game.

If you can't snort lines of kryptonite with Ultraman I don't want none of this shit.

The ability to make your own custom villain that's actually included in the story is brilliant.

Wait, the story is basically Forever Evil? I did not expect a Lego game to be adapting a story from the comics.

I'm sure it's an extremely loose adaptation that takes little from the comic beyond the premise, but basically. Though LMSH2 definitely took inspiration from Secret Wars 2015 and various Kang stories.

Haven't played a Lego game in a while. I might give this a shot.

So this is WB's second game for E3. Two lego games. They better come through with that Rocksteady announcement.

When was the last DC centered Lego game (not counting the toys to life game)? I might get this, the writing in Lego games tends to be fun and at the very least it will make for an easy platinum.

From New 52 to his eventual writing break unless he was doing smaller stories like Shazam or other b-list characters, Geoff John's was overworked and clearly did not give a fuck.

I didn't like the LEGO games till super hero's then I've like most of them since. I'm really hyped for this and the incredibles.
