They solved this in the first games with gym badges. I imagine it'll be the same here.I'm totally okay with the game. A lot of features, the design look's okay too. (except for the trainers...c'mon they could put some effort there, right?).
The way that found pokémon was a question of time. Even in my childhood I thought was weird a giant pokémon be found in a grass smaller then my knees.
The only thing that worry me is about the transfer with Pokémon GO. This can really difficult to balance. Imagine starting a adventure with a Mew, Zapdos, Moltres, or wtvr. They will reduce their CP (or level)? Starting at level 5? Would be just in the park but not playable?
Pokemon was a cultural phenomenon in gen 1, and Go showed that those people that have dropped off the series still really do care about those first creatures.

I am getting my Pokémon game this year. Looks fun to me and to plenty of others. This game is for small kids to get them into Pokémon it won't suffer in review
We're getting our Pokémon game next year be patient
5-6 range.
It's too simplified and small in comparison to mainline games, It will suffer a lot.
I could see a lot of reviewers giving it a pass under a belief that it's meant for very young children and will be more forgiving due to that.5-6 range.

Can we teach our Pikachu to surf though, that's the real question.
How big is Game Freak now?
Who is directing these games?
Are we not going to get remakes anymore?
I interpreted "in they vein of XY" as "New Region with new Pokémon".They wouldn't have to make a distinction between the two games if that were the case. They specifically said it will be "in they vein of XY" to differentiate it from this game.
In fact, if that were the case, they wouldn't waste resources on a different game that has been in development for a while.
Just had a thought, are the shinies you catch in Go still shiny when you send them to Let's Go?
For real, and all this just from a trailer
I mean I have a Pikachu that knows Surf in Go so I can just transfer him over. Can we teach our Pikachu to surf though, that's the real question.
It's great that they're finally giving Pikachu an evolution.
You can capture wild Pokemon, just no random encounters.So... if i'm understanding this right, there are no wild Pokemon and you can only obtain Pokemon through GO to use in Let's Go? If that's correct, then it's entirely useless to me as i can't really play GO :( Too bad, i was legit interested in a Yellow remake.
The following Pokemon look aces though. That better be in gen 8!

This is no different from the usual "New game, remake" combo that comes almost every generation save for gen V and VII. It's just that, this time, the remake is coming first than the new game, but the generation is the same. GF always had two teams working on two games, but always from the same generation.
Suppose that Let's Go is a success. Do you want to risk to alienate the new people you just brought with the Let's Go design games with a more complex one in the following year?
No, there are wild Pokemon it's just that instead of fighting them, you just throw balls at them until they get caught or run away. Think of the entire game as the safari zone.So... if i'm understanding this right, there are no wild Pokemon and you can only obtain Pokemon through GO to use in Let's Go? That's cool and when the follow you they should also be shiny?
What is bombing in reviews? 4/10? 3/10? Or something stupid like 7-8/10?

You will unlock the park as you advanve in your journey. Then you'll maybe need to catch them ? Meaning that Zapdos with only regular Pokeball wont do it ?

I don't think they would even bother announcing that game like this if it were more of the same. This seems like a move to pacify traditional fans.I interpreted "in they vein of XY" as "New Region with new Pokémon".

You haven't seen my twitter notifications
It's the no random encounters that confused me. There's so much info floating around. I think i'll wait a bit and watch some impression takes on it.
I'll avatar bet anyone for a month who thinks this game will even come close to bombing. 20 million people still play pokemon actively. Everything on switch sells way above expectations, even straight ports like Tropical Freeze. The idea that this game won't be massive is just pure nonsense.
I bring bad news.I mean I have a Pikachu that knows Surf in Go so I can just transfer him over.
He has a party hat too.
The safari was the pinnacle of pokemon gameplay I tell you.
Go doesn't have proper battles or any sort of story. Not to mention exploring a fictional world is a lot different from exploring your town/city. it has stuff to offer that Go doesn't.So, I have thought about it a little bit.
This game is basically Pokemon Go for lazy people, right?
I mean, it basically is Pokemon Go without running around and I'm scratching my head when I hear in social media that many people started to play Pokemon Go again now, because then I think, why should they buy the new one in the first place? Cause playing Go is a great choice, you even do something for your body with it and it gives you the exact same thing.
The next 'main' game is going to have to be a huuuuuuuuge step up for GameFreak to not catch the shitfit they've honestly deserved since X/Y. If its this same uprezzed Sun/Moon level, that many years after Switch launch, they done fucked it.
To be fair, you're probably getting a lot of the anger from people who aren't really aware of how to process this new game yet.
Pokémon Eevee is not searchable on Amazon US (can only be accessed via the ranking screen), so that's why it's behind Pikachu (I'M SURE OF THAT, EEVEE WOULDN'T LOSE AGAINST PIKACHU*)
*: maybe
It's not even worth $40 lol
