I truly believe Drake is hurt by this and losing sleep. He's still a Rap Head in his heart. If someone like Push, Phonte, or André disses him it gets to him no matter how big he is himself now, you can bet. I'm sure he still feels insecure about not being accepted in the core Rap scene.
Wouldn't call it classy but has definitely aged well. This still pops in the club/car/wherever really.

Man, I hope this is a temporary emotional thing & that she gets the rest & support that she needs. It'd be really disappointing for her career to end just as she hit her mainstream breakthrough.

What's there to address though? That Pusha raps about coke too much and never sold drugs? He ain't wrong there but that same criticism can be levied against plenty of rappers - hell, Ross and Wayne are constantly in his orbit, and they're just as guilty. Drake of all people doesn't really have any ground to levy street cred against Pusha T. That doesn't even seem to matter nowadays anyway, and you'd think he'd realize that considering Meek completely fell on his face after he (accurately) challenged Drakes authenticity as an artist and no one cared

...and most importantly, Drake fumbling the ghostwriting critiques for what seems like the millionth time? (which is somewhat lame for even Pusha to go at in the first place IMO, we know Drake doesn't have the greatest integrity as an MC, it's established)
It's a good track, definitely more listenable and IMO well-put together than The Story of Adinon, but we're not gonna pretend like Drake was saying some profound shit on there that warrants responding. Half of Drake's bars were either misinformed or hollow or just your typical "I'm doing better than you" flexing subs he throws on every other track. All the personals were light work or only warrant a shrug given they're not well substantiated. I thought Drake would win this round because it's a better track but Pusha got control of the conversation and attacked Drake where it can hurt him like Buddens said: his rapport with him female fanbase and integrity. New ammo >> explaining to Drake on a track why you actually did sell a lot of drugs (also kind of captured by the opening lines of Adinon).
Also ain't nobody know about the Adinon and blackface shit until now. Just because that shit existed doesn't mean it ain't potent material or invalidated because the execution is what matters.
I honestly have no idea how Drake responds to this, he relies way too hard on flexing and has never really had to play dirty now that he has to, has more endorsements and relationships to protect so he can't get too vicious (although everyone glossed over the CuDi disses, and Ye is still out here booming so I guess it doesn't matter much). He gotta have some bars about not really having a kid and aborting them like he's gonna Pusha's career, and then go 8-mile and say he actually has a kid with some other girl kinda thing.
