You can press a button to throw a pokeball, but you have to use the gyro to aim. Even in portable mode.

I have some doubts about this.
You are getting one next year, like they announced.Possibly the most disappointed I've ever been with Nintendo.
And I say this as a gen 1 lover.
Just give us a real Pokémon game for switch :( let pogo be it's own thing.
I swear to god ive seen this awful backward ass statement said by multiple different people in the exact same way
Even if they get 0.5% of that audience, it's still a crazy amountI have some doubts about this.
Pokémon go was a phenomenon because it was free in a device everyone already had.
If Nintendo can manage to convert those people to buying a $300 console and a $60 video game remains to be seen.
This is a bad thing now? Screw HMs.
that's a good thing you know?
People that aggressively shit on everything that isn't gen 1 because gen 1 is the only good one
Did you skip Sun/Moon?
...we barely know anything about the game yet except that they are employing mechanical changesOne thing more annoying than the "genwunner" discussion is people dismissing any criticism of the game as "lmao so much salt". What the fuck?

Another thing, legendaries better be battles. Defeat them and after that Go catch it.
So...wait.
What do you do other than battle trainers if there are no wild Pokemon in the game??
Apparently wondering why so much effort is given to service players who actively dislike 6/7ths of an entire franchise makes one entitled nowGenwunners sure felt entitled to the series for decades, and it's actively started to affect and ruin the series.
I wonder with no wild Pokemon encouters - how is Fishing going to work in the game
there are wild pokemons, you just catch them like in go/the safari zone.So...wait.

Not sure if you're being serious or not but HM's were removed in Sun and Moon for the better.
Yea it's going to be a "real" Pokemon game.I have never played a pokemon game for more than maybe 10 minutes (I hate handhelds) but I have always been intrigued by the idea and wanted to play it if it ever came to console. However, this looks a bit different with all that Pokemon Go stuff. Anyone know if this is a "real" pokemon game because if so it was going to be the first one I buy.
You most likely won't. This game has more chances to share metagame with GO (only 3 stats with "hidden" IV ranging from 1-15, no EVs) than with mainline Pokémon.are EVs gone then? if we can't battle wild Pokemon, I don't see how we would gain EVs
Call backs that focuses in only one gen instead of spreading the love to other generations. Pokemon is a 25 year old franchise and it being nostalgic on the same beats all the time can be annoying for fans who might be nostalgic for other generations. Gen 6 pandering felt ok as it also spread the love a little bit with other gens having a good presence and feeling like the 20th celebration game it was. Gen 7 focusing even more on Kanto just makes it worse.
Give me some gen 2 callbacks or gen 4!
Yeah, the problem had already been solved with repels, now they created a new problem because the old behavior is impossible to have now.I mean that doesn't change anything with the previous games. If you wanted to avoid wild Pokemon you just used Repels.
The real villains of the Pokemon series.
No random encounters. Pokémon are in the overworld, run into them to start an encounter. If theres no wild battles how are we capturing pokemon? And why is the world now devoid of wild pokemon?
The people complaining about 'genwunners' have always been more obnoxious and vocal than the people they're complaining about, it's ridiculous.Honestly, all this "genwunner" talk seems like it come from some tribal fanboy war within the Pokemon fanbase.
You guys should realize people on the outside don't really care about "genwun pandering". No later gen Pokemon is a genuine bummer, but thankfully we are getting gen 8 next year.
Reread some information and come back, this is all explained dozens of times. If theres no wild battles how are we capturing pokemon? And why is the world now devoid of wild pokemon?
Do people just not look at OPs anymore? If theres no wild battles how are we capturing pokemon? And why is the world now devoid of wild pokemon?
Pokemon spawn on the overworld, and you engage them.If theres no wild battles how are we capturing pokemon? And why is the world now devoid of wild pokemon?
Catering to people who couldn't care less about the series for 18 years, surely this will win them over and make them longtime customersApparently wondering why so much effort is given to service players who actively dislike 6/7ths of an entire franchise makes one entitled now
Why is that going to be a factor on whether or not you burn the saga?
are EVs gone then? if we can't battle wild Pokemon, I don't see how we would gain EVs
Lmao, they've literally said there's gonna be a separate traditional Pokémon RPG on the Switch next year. You all are hilarious.my heart sunk when i read saw it's kanto again. then then i read pokemon go like catching, no wild battles and saw the 3ds graphics in higher resolution and something in me died.
this might be one of the biggest disappointments in all of my gaming life. the original pokemon were always in my top 10 games of all time and i've been dreaming of a real console RPG for years- just wow.
I am a consumer, I dont care about them running a bussiness, I care about my enjoyment of the game which is what every consumer should do.GF runs a business, if for whatever reason gen1 evokes the strongest feelings among fans and non-fans, they will continue referencing those designs. They don't "pander" to anyone, they use their strongest, most recognizable designs as the backbone of the IP.
That's nice. You can press a button to throw a pokeball, but you have to use the gyro to aim. Even in portable mode.
