Rock is pretty bad as well, has this weird "Powerful, but innacurate" gamestyle for it's attacking moves (Despite these moves not being that powerful, Stone Edge is the strongest move most physical types get and it's only BP 100, weak compared to stuff like Flare Blitz, Close Combat and Draco Meteor, those moves have downsides as well, but generally those downsides are better than missing and wasting your turn. Special only gets Power Gem, decent move but that and Ancient Power is all special rock types get.) And defensively, having weaknesses to the (currently) strongest types in the game doesn't help it either (Fighting, Ground, Water)
Still, it gets Sandstorm and Stealth Rocks at least. I'm amazed Stealth Rocks has remained the exact same since Gen 4 unaltered at all. All they've done to try and balance it is to try and make a hard recall and limit the pokemon that can learn stealth rocks after way too many pokemon could learn it in Gen 4. I guess it's because it doesn't affect VGC too much...
Scald as well, why do I feel that the Burned Status affect got nerfed because of Scald, not because of the fire types actually using their own status?
