Played the crap out of the first one. Wanted to jump into the game at launch but I didn't have a PC that could run it and didn't have a PS4. Now that it's on Xbox, I feel like it's been so long that the player base would not be that big. It's also hard to justify spending $20 on it considering it's been in humble bundles on PC and a PS+ game. People on Xbox, convince me to by it.

I'm in for PC, love the game on the PS4 but all this talking about modded maps and KZ1 maps got me excited to try them out.

I really like KF2, put about 60 hours into it, but I think map design is a downgrade from KF1. In KF2 all maps are corridor based. Even when some maps look like they are open ( Black Forest), in reality, they are built from corridors and invisible walls too. In KF1 maps were more open. Like they not only were bigger but they also had more open space, like Farm or Mountain Pass. KF2 version of Farm is a poor version of KF1 Farm. I also think that most KF2 maps are really flat. Some maps in KF1 offered a bit of verticality ( like in Aperture). I appreciate that they try new things with KF2 like the progression maps, but I really wish they made some more open maps. That's my main complaint. And I think it's my friends complaint too because we don't play KF2 together at all while KF1 was our main game on LAN parties.

KF2 is a game which is damn easy on open maps. For example, lots of people play the community-made CubeV2 map just for farming, because it is really easy to kill any zeds from a distance. Even the KF1-farm in KF2 makes it too damn easy to complete.

On the other hand, while standard enemies are really easy to deal with, bosses can decimate you in open spaces (You need cover for King Fleshpound's laser and Patriarch's mortars).

I'm not that of a pro of the saga. Didn't play the first game a lot, but maybe it was better balanced for open maps.

Cube is the worst map I have played in this game, because people abuse it to easily level up perks. Also its just not fun to play because its too easy.

Random aside, but you don't actually need cover for KF's laser. You just have to duck.

free weekend has started :)

Guess I should probably hop on then this weekend with all the people playing. Have to admit, I picked this up on Steam Sale around Christmas time based on my cousin recommending it. Great game to play here and there for a few rounds. We even got our other cousin hooked on the game as well.

Keep up the good work there!

Man, I thought it was kill 250 zeds as part of the season thing but it's 2500 zeds.

EDIT: Holy shit trying to get to level 25 on endless is a right pain in the ass. We got an entire wave that was nothing but Scrakes. It wasn't even remotely fair.

Anyone having trouble with the US servers on PS4? I go to Create Match (which is a great addition) and it always hangs if I choose the US East server. The only one that actually creates a match is Europe, but the ping is horrible.

Finished all of the seasonals except for killing 2500 on Monster's Ball. That is just way too much. At 2,000 now after a few games and a 35 ish wave survival. I'll get there but...damn.

This game has incredible controls (analog aiming) on consoles, and one of the worst inventory systems. Probably fine on a keyboard but really weak effort to get it on console. Too bad because it feels great to play/shoot but it's a clusterfuck inventory that doesn't feel intuitive at all. Basically why I stopped playing, and their microtransactions are on the gross side.

2018 was an exciting year for Killing Floor 2 - with 7 new maps, 15 new weapons, and much more! Here's a 2018 recap and an early look at what's in store for 2019, including a large survey we'd love for everyone to partake in. http://bit.ly/2QvOUpv

Nice to hear TripWire will still be giving KF2 strong support in 2019. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

Also reminds me that I still need to check out that Tommy Gun. I mainly 'sling so I had forgotten about it.

Hi everyone! We at Tripwire and those on the Killing Floor 2 team specifically are hosting an AMA for KF2 today on Reddit. We've already have a lot of questions posted by the community that we'll shortly be answering. Feel free to join in and ask some additional questions :)

I gave this a read through and there was some good stuff, but something I was curious about wasn't touched on. Any plans for a "Vault Dosh Leaderboard" or something like that? I do most dailies and weeklies so I am curious how my vault is lookin' compared to others. I've Googled it but never found anything. For PS4, btw.

Helios Rifle is really good I like that it deals Microwave damage. It's solid against all Zed types. Wondering what other weapon to pair with it.

Haven't tried Killerwatt. When I play Survivalist, I usually use an upgrade Grenade launcher and M4 Shotgun.
