There are so called journalists and someone from atlus and indie devs saying how shit he was and talking about everything terrible he did. Oh wowsee, these people are actually garbage humans. THEY COULDN'T EVEN WAIT A LITTLE.

Awful, awful news. I used to watch his StarCraft 2 stuff pretty often and he seemed like such a great guy. So sorry to hear about this...he really put up a fight.

Also that Bioware dude just committed career suicide. What a trash human.

There's definitley some valid criticim to be made but some of these takes just really make me dislike the gaming "community". You can't talk about how toxic everything is then shit all over a dead guy hours after he's died with a straight face. You can't strive for a better community by thanking god that someonejust died of cancer.

RIP Totalbiscuit. I was never really a PC gamer or particularly concerned with the minutiae of graphics so I didn't follow his videos but when I did watch a few of his videos I respected the quality of the content he consistently put out and how strong his opinions were on the matters that were important to him.

I won't participate in a witch hunt but if I see any employee of a developer celebrating this then I'm not supporting that developer any more unless I see confirmation that such elements are removed from the company.

Revisionism on who he was (which is something only his closest actually know) isn't good for either side and gets people's backs up, whether they think he did a lot of good or a lot of damage.

I don't think anyone should be feeding into that conversation either which way and should just be respectful of his family right now.

Well, that'll depend if rather a victim of a militarized harassment movement believes that all bets should be off against their oppressors or not.

But we know most who are spitting, pissing, and shitting on John Bain's grave doesn't fit in this category.

And, at the very least, that developer's social self-hanging for all the world to see may as well have started and ended with the social problematic stuff because.....the fact he started off with games first was...Jesus..

TB when he first announced what he didn't do right away (go to a doctor) has been seared into my brain when I first heard him talk about this stuff.

So when I started having similiar issues to the above I flew to the gastro like bat out of hell. Had the colonoscopy done...no polyps, no UC, No IBD and no cancer. Internal hemroids that tared due to constipation. Red blood is not as much of problem as to black blood that looks like coffee grinds. Still get checked out. I was diagnosed with alternating IBS (Mix of Constipation some days, diarrhea other days). You have to change your diet, you have to balance your fiber but you also have to understand...it will be with you for life. There is no curing IBS.

No criticism shortly after death is absolutely a healthy norm. Yes, in time everything will be fair play for discussion. But if you want to air your grievances a day after someone dies you can go fuck yourself.

I'm all for discussing peoples shortcomings and fautls but damn give it some time.

This just shows again that common sense and courtesy of any kind is a dying good on the internet.
People advocating for decency while actually hurting other people on one of their worst days in live, after losing a friend/husband/father, the sheer hypocrisy makes me sick.

Yep. TB was the reason I went to the doctor as soon as I saw blood. There's no way to know for sure unless you actually get checked out.
Please folks. If you have concerns, go see a doctor ASAP. Don't put it off.

His pain and suffering has finally ended. May his family and friends be healthy and remember every moment they lived together.

That Bioware dude is salty. I don't know if what he says is true and to be honest i read all his posts and only the gamegate stuff felt like really important.
There is no point in posting all that crap because TB is gone now. If anyone thinks that this guy had a negative influence on the scene he/she should start fixing it and not just commenting on it and talking shit on twitter...

I just saw the tweets from the guy at Bioware Montreal. I hope EA pull this guy aside and give him a talk. Utterly classless and an awful look from someone who just looks petty, and childish. It reflects poorly on Bioware and EA when one of their employees does something like this on social media.

I'm just going to say I am entirely disappointed by the mod stance of Resetera, I did not think that the extent of discussion allowed in this forum is only to give room to one voice, and the one that remains is that is trying to find every dissenting voice and shutting them down to oblivion the same way they couldn't during Bain's lifetime.

I have done and said some seriously shitty things in my life. I'm glad the Internet wasn't big then, there are no screenshots, audio or video of my past mistakes and I don't have the spotlight for it to even matter anyway.

I'm sure there is a time and place to discuss positives and negatives, but he hasn't even had a funeral yet, they are not even dancing on his grave as it isn't there yet. These people are shameless, sanctimonious assholes.

One or two of the people have been very dissapointing to me personally, the rest I have never heard of. The whole thing is shameful, this wasn't a dictator, war criminal, rapist or murderer.
