Amazon has US streaming rights making it awkward.
They will probably adjust it per season. Book 1 is all 13 S1 eps plus a few in S2, Book 2 is the rest of S2 and 6 in S3, Book 3 is the back 7 of S3.I wonder if they'll expand the season size or length of episodes.
I should give this show another chance. Stopped watching a few episodes into the first season.

I didn't really click with S1 until halfway through and even at the end of that season, I wasn't exactly driven to jump right into S2. But S2 and 3 have been fantastic, due to all the pieces being in place and excellent pacing, and upon rewatching S1, it was way better and more well-paced than I had rememberedI should give this show another chance. Depends on the show. I think most drop all at once. But the Grand Tour for example is weekly. I doubt the Expanse would go weekly, and I'm so happy. No more commercials, and no more waiting week to week.
Already using "seasons" hopefully means the show has a long future plannedbezos said "It will be a Prime original in the coming seasons" btw
Aye, I think so! The only Amazon original I've gotten into so far (that's gonna change now, mark my words, kopeng) is Man in the High Castle, and only just a couple of months ago. But I think so.

It didn't click with me until the second season. The first season kept me going because I wanted to know what the protomolecule was and I just love space sci-fi. If I hadn't watched it on Amazon Prime, I would have dropped it after season season. But once season 2 kicked in, it gripped me. The third season has been phenomenal so far especially the last few episodes.I didn't really click with S1 until halfway through and even at the end of that season, I wasn't exactly driven to jump right into S2. I can never blame folks for stopping around that point. I can't say I've known anyone personally, or pulled any fans into the fold, who have been enamored with The Expanse until several episodes into the first season -- if not season two. The mixed reception to the opening act did a show that premiered on a brow-beaten cable network in 2015 absolutely zero favors, heh.
But I'm confident there's a good chance you'll come around if you stick with it. Almost everybody does.
Is this show really that good? Is it like Firefly or more like Star Trek?
Amazon releases The Grand Tour in weekly installments so there might be a chanceThis may sound bizarre, and don't get me wrong, I am happier right now than I've been in months, like holy hell guys and gals, we did it... but I'm honestly gonna miss the weekly nature of the show.
it's kinda funny - I started watching it a couple of years ago, when it first premiered. Watched the first 2 episodes and thought something "this looks cool and the worldbuilding should be right up my alley BUT THE CHARACTERS ARE ALL A BUNCH OF UNLIKEABLE ASSHOLES WHO ARE AT EACH OTHER'S THROATS ALL THE TIME it just gets fucking tiring" so I dropped it and started watching other stuff instead.
So after the cancellation news (what a good time, huh?) I decided to give it another chance and rewatched those episodes and I got pretty much hooked without much trouble. Yes, they're a bit slow and they don't spoonfeed you shit and the characters are still assholish at this point but it still grabbed me and by the time episode 4 rolls by I was just completely on board.
I love the production design, too. I dunno how big is the budget for this series but except for a couple of really obvious greenscreens it looks amazing.
Oh, and also: "you guys look like shit". Fucking hell that made me literally laugh out loud.
That was the point. They were work colleagues that barely knew each other thrown into this insane situation and suddenly have to be a team walking a tightrope in the middle of a powderkeg.
