Fuck me man, I hope he rests well. I would never wish cancer on anyone and it's terrible how many people connected to the media part of the games industry have been taken away by the disease recently. Hopefully his family is able to heal.

Rest In Peace. :(

Thank you for everything you did for PC Gaming and Indies. Not a lot of people that had the kind of influence you did. :( Really loved the WTF series, got me into so many games like SPAZ which I probably would have never given a chance.

Only 5 years older than me, that's pretty hard to take in.

Holy shit, I figured he had months not weeks :/

As someone who has an IBS-like condition, I am terrified of colon cancer. Look for blood in your stool each time you go, people, save your life. CRC is on the rise in folks <50 years old.

It is sad to see him pass. I hope he is able to rest in peace and with out any pain in the here after. Rest in peace John.

And because it needs to be said. FUCK CANCER. I hope that one day there is a cure for it so that no more people and families have to go through the suffering and sadness that it causes.

RIP

I really hope one day, very soon, mankind can solve the puzzle that is cancer and stop it from taking away so many people before their true time is over.

Terrible news. RIP, Totalbiscuit. :(

I understand his family is experiencing pain and people want to be respectful of that, but how about we also respect the victims of the systematic harassment campaign he was a supporter of. Just because someone passes away doesn't erase half their history. You have to consider their entire life.

You are a horrible person. Make no mistake in thinking otherwise.

What a tragedy, may he RIP. I enjoyed his content and used to consume it more regularly a few years back.

Although it's been said already, I can't believe how sadistic and extreme some people can be in this thread. Almost uncultured in their approach of desensitized selfishness. As though you are referring to a universally hated tyrant or dictator.

Rest in piece, came across his content while searching for some RTS game. Didn't watch him much but appreciated the detail he put in his reviews.
And of course we have the certain members of the community community acting morally superior taking a dump on his life for supporting GG but if I remember correctly he pulled out of it quite early. I thought this shit was left on the ole site. Whatever those views were, now is not the time and place you dumb insensitive fucks. No wonder some like to blame everyone for your own problems and have comprehension skills of an ant.

Rest in peace, TB. I guess once he knew he was completely out of options, the body finally gave out fast. He fought long and hard, I hope he got to say his final goodbyes. His absence leaves a big hole in the PC gaming enthusiast community.

Wow, this is really unfortunate to hear. My thoughts and condolences to Jenna and the related family and friends.

It is really saddening to hear that such a prominent person in the gaming, youtube and twitch community to have passed away from cancer. The Co-optional podcast won't be the same without TB and it will be quite unfortunate to not hear his voice and opinions on future games and occurrences.

Rest in peace John Bain, you have definitely impacted a number of people and the industry in such a positive and long-standing manner. Will we never forget you

Least he got to spend his final days doing what he loved alongside his wife.

Also pretty disappointed that some people on Era just have to try and stir the pot. No class.

Something Geoff Keighley retweeted.

I remembered he won first Trending Gamer at the Game Awards, but I forgot how good his speech was (at least I thought so).

Good Lord, I think I'm going to have to quit the internet for the rest of the night (this is not directed at anyone, I'm just... I need some time for this).

It actually makes me remember how much I love the Xbox Adaptive Controller. Video games have the power to get your mind off some really painful things and brighten your day. Opening up those experiences to people who could not in any "normal" way play them is such a great thing and something the industry should be proud of, collectively.

RIP John.

May the Elder Gods of the PC Master Race watch over you, at frame rates that would totally annihilate the eyeballs of console warriors for generations to come.

I first watched Totalbiscuit's WoW Cataclysm videos, then his WTF Is and probably every SC2 tournament he had cast. RIP :(

My deepest condolences to John's friends and family.
It's heartbreaking to see someone fight cancer for so long but then ultimately succumb to it. :(

I've only seen a few of his videos, but I was very well aware of his impact in the gaming community.

Rest in peace, TB. You'll be missed.

I knew very little about him as I never really watched or listened to his content, but it's clear to me that he was pretty influential and loved in the gaming personality sphere.

He was way too young to die.

RIP
