Am I the only one slightly weirded out by Sofia Falcone's face?
Not in that its weird, strange, etc but it is kinda entrancing when she is on screen.

I don't know what it is.

We know where Gordon's career is heading, so the hesitation to take the promotion to captain wasn't really working for me. Harvey is a really good character so I hope he doesn't take too much of a secondary role. They can still be partners, just have Gordon calling the shots now.

When the episode was called "stop hitting yourself" I had a feeling it was going to be something violent with Grundy. This show never disappoints. Always makes me laugh at how over-the-top they're willing to go. Penguin is so awesome and Gotham is the best show on TV IMO.

Just started watching the show this summer and am halfway through Season 2, which has really surprised me in how far they push the line in terms of both body count and ridiculousness. I am quite enjoying it.

I mean there was this one episode where penguin summons an army of look alike minions(complete with limps!) to confuse, disrupt, and basically shoot-up a gala affair out of vengeance. That episode had like 5 other insane things before each break that occurred.

How does S3 and 4 hold up? Without spoilers?

I liked Season 3 and I am liking Season 4. The show becomes more...Batman if that make. The villains are becoming more established. There are more of them. And Bruce and Gordon are heading towards their ultimate roles in the Batman mythos. So while Season 1 felt more like a crime show set in Gotham. Seasons 3 and 4 definitely feel like stories you might see in more typical Batman stories.

The first half of S3 meanders a bit but the back half is fantastic. S4 is pretty good so far.

Yeah it was a great espisode. It interesting that as Solomon Grundy, that actor has more to do than when he was Butch who was such a one note character in comparison.
I do have to mention I am loving Lee's new look. I lost it when Barbara said she had to go see what was up with her dress.

I am not a huge comics guy, so I had never even heard of this villain before
Thought he was an original creation for the show like they did a lot of in season 1

He's not much like the comics character, fwiw. The one thing he's got is using masks on his victims and the verbose language, but that's about it.

I like how they're taking a lesser known C or D-list villain (a character that most people aren't that familiar with) and they're making him as threatening/menacing as some of Batman's most famous villains.

New episode today:
Season 4: episode 9 "Let Them Eat Pie"

Professor Pyg continues to torment Gotham city, involving Jim Gordon whenever possible. Sofia and Penguin get ready for a fundraiser for the orphanage, and things don't go as planned when Professor Pyg shows up as the chef. Meanwhile, Bruce's partying gets in the way of his relationship with Alfred.

Nice speech Alfred. Nice to get another taste of that backstory.

Edit: Yep, he realized it. And there he goes.

That look on Penguin's and Sofia's faces.
