I guess I really should play To the Moon. Its been sitting in my steam library since 2012.......wow.
The only game that has made me cry. Every time I listen to the soundtrack....the feels. I'm glad this is getting a movie release. Amazing story but unfortunately wrapped in crude and rudimentary gameplay.

The game really lathers on the emotions towards the end and ends up feeling borderline corny.

But seriously this is great news. To the Moon holds a special place for me, wonderful and emotional game and completely unexpected.
Bird Story was forgettable, I don't even remember anything from it. Also Didn't know Finding Paradise existed, have to check it out!

Wow! I never expected this to happen. Very happy for Kan, and I can't wait to see this animated. I still think about To the Moon very often, and recommend it to friends. I've been pestering one of mine to play the game for the past two or three years. Maybe this will finally convince her to play.

Please get it right if so! The story is precious, not perfect, and that's what makes it one of recent gaming's most resonant little tales, in part because of the gimmicky interactivity and whatnot at times... it had a humongous heart in the most minimal of ways. Hopefully the anime gets this through. Use that budget for good ppl..!! ;o

Yeah, not only are the games in the series already very much "anime", but if this movie is anything close to Your Name it'll be absolutely incredible!
Dude... I adored this game. I remember threads on the freeboard forums about casting a To the Moon movie so that it's being adapted is amazing, but to have top tier budgeting and studios involved? Incredible stuff. This has the potential to exceed Your Name for sure.
I loved this game's story and the follow up Finding Paradise. Just watching a walkthrough and it legit made me got teary eyed. When storywriting has that kind of capability, you know its a good game.
As a movie this would be brilliant too. I last watched a movie called Lucid Dream whose premise is similar to this. Ever since i watched To the Moon playthrough i look for movies with similar premises. Sadly LD hardly was what it said it was, but a To the Moon movie would be grand.
