Some new videos. One with Deadpool talking about the way up to Deadpool and how they gotta save something for Phase 2:

And here's one were Deadpool gets interviewed. He really knows his Cable stuff. Was actually funny seeing him describing him like this.

And here's another clip released:

What was the controversial talk about before the movie released that was mentioned in the leaked script? Was it that Vanessa got offed or that the X-Force got killed? I loved these two things. I didn't expect to feel a little bad for Wade.

I can only face-palm at anyone who complains about X-Force getting wiped out on their first mission. I'm still laughing about it today while at work. In fact the moment that I can't get out of my head is when Peter is trying to save the dude who got sucked into the woodchipper thing, and he's all like "We're X-Force! Right? We're X-Force!" and the other dude starts nodding his head encouraged, "X-Force!". Then they both die. LOL.

Saw it today. First half felt weirdly weak...? I don't know how to describe it properly. The whole dead girlfriend thing wasn't what i was expecting. I felt let down in a way. I even asked my buddy if he also get the feeling that this is like a parody of a bad superhero movie.

But the second half ramped up nicely and the last third was amazing imo.

Yeah without a doubt one of the best segments in the movie. That was the thing I had spoiled but it was still really funny on screen. I kept thinking that maybe Peter would make it out alive but nope

Strong first half, great jokes but the action got a little mushy and the CGI didn't really work at times. All in all great fun and relentless puns-per-minute.

Died at the last post credits scene.

I'm less harsh on the movie for (temporarily!) killing off the girlfriend because apparently (correct me if I'm wrong) her schedule with TV show Gotham didn't permit her to feature in the movie much. So with that in consideration they actually did a pretty decent job in handling her circumstance.

Oh that explains a lot. I was wondering what they're doing.

Just came back from the movie, had a a lot of fun, but couldn't stay until the very end.

Could anyone tell me if there was a scene after the credit?

There were 2 scenes during the credits, both of which were some of the best credit scenes i've seen in a long time.

Popped into Vue Cinema to see it (cost me £4, compared to the £8-£10 Cineworld would have charged). What can i say that hasn't been said already, this is one of them movies where the sequel is just a lot better than the 1st. As this is spoiler territory, i'll continue.

Loved the Bond-esq intro credits to the movie, in fact there were only 1 or two things in the entire movie i wasn't a fan of. The action was better than the 1st, but the CGI wasn't ideal at times. The breaking of the 4th wall was on par per usual, the mentions of Avenger and other Marvel characters was a laugh moment. The soundtrack was on-par, certainly had vibes of GotG here.

So... it was pretty awful, I think about 5% of the jokes landed, and since the whole movie is jokes that means about 95% of it sucked.

After the prison with the whole X-Force thing and the truck scene, that was entertaining, but then it's the third act and it goes right back to being weak.

It felt exhausting and shallow, the pacing was terrible, overall it just felt desperate.

I was already worried thinking how that Cable didn't have a crew how will there be a movie when he's outnumbered when he got trouble from Deadpool alone

Welp lol

Its a bit of a strange movie; didn't have a natural flow like the original, but it has some Deadpool-ass jokes. It was a bit more serious during the first third of the movie though, did surprise me for a bit. The second part and third part of the movie are prettty neat though. Just some thoughts:

- I died at the Old Man Logan reference.
- the Dopinder thing about Interview with the Vampire, oh shit
- The whole Vanessa thing dying might be a bit convenient for the plot, but I'm okay with that.
- the X-Men thing was hilarious. Kinda looked like a scene from Dark Phoenix? Doubt they would feature Hoult in full Beast gear just for a few seconds in DP2
- Too little Negasonic. Yukio is adorbs though.
- Josh Brolin is a cool Cable. Thats two for two Thanos.
- Zazzi is cool as Domino! Everytime she appeared was great.
- the dismanteling of X-Force, laughed my ass off. Especially with the Brad Pitt cameo.
- okay, why is it that Deadpool (2) are better X-Men movies (in regards to being close to the source material) than the X-movies themselves? Pool in red spandex? Colossus being swole as fuck? Cable looking like he was ripped from the pages? And we get a more comicbook accurate version of the Juggernaut? Holy shitballs.
- "So your brother can read your mind, thats why you have the helmet on?" "Yeah well he's in a wheelchair so even-stevens" lol
- the ending was great. Haha, expected, but great.

Fun movie.

I simultaneously quite liked it and don't really care if they go through with X Force. It ended in a nice place.

Shit I must've missed one then, I had to go after the mistake fixing sequence. (Which was amazing. *)
Thanks!

* But not my favorite joke, which has to go to to the callback of the "nobody lives in in s house" from the first movie.

thinking about why I didnt like this as much and I think a lot of it has to do with the central plot and the lead NZ kid. Just never worked for me and the first movie felt like it had more going for it. The action feels very small scale with a finale outside some sort of house/mansion as opposed to the craziness of the ship in the first. Its just a lot of shooting of misc hospital guards to close off a superhero movie. Nothing as good as the violence in the highway scene in 1. It's bizarre even that suddenly all these hospital guys have armed weapons when early in the movie, they had nothing. It's also done poorly this last shoot out it could have been in the early movie montage when deadpool goes on a killspree. Bad action. It's really just

I don't think the NZ kid played his role well and I honestly didn't care for him/his story. It's very 1 dimensional - he hears deadpool say they're not friends (boo hoo); there's really not enough history there for it to mean much if anything. Its not violent enough or R rated enough especially in its third Act. Felt really tame like they dialed this back. There's no villian in the third act (juggernauts just fights colossus and I dont consider him a final villian). The evil child abusing doctor wasn't as developed than the doctors/team in Logan with the lab research with almost zero screen time and suddenly its the catalyst for the plot.

There's 3-4 x sequences of the same sequence of deadpool falling through water/time/space/death.

Negasonic was criminally underused in this. and the jokes mostly misfired.

Saw this last night. It was okay. I preferred the original.

My main issue were Russell's actor didn't really deliver on the "angry" moments AND he was criminally underused with respect to his comedic timing/talent. For anyone that has seen him in Hunt for the Wilderpeople he has good comedic chops for someone so young (TV ad where he delivers some of that too https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jUPtAaXRRXA ). He just didn't have the right lines or scenes to fit what he is best at which was a shame.

Beyond that, there were a lot of great and fun moments that were strung together with a not very compelling overall plot. And then pretty much everything was undone at the end which meant there was no cost to anything and nothing mattered.

I was entertained, but won't go out of my way to watch it again.

Just got out of the first screening. I thought it was great, and a lot of fun!

I was kinda frustrated that they had Wade use Cable's time-travel device to undo all the events of the film. We kinda all saw it coming, but it's a little frustrating that they went the obvious route. I guess it offsets the less obvious choice of having his girlfriend get murdered in the first 15 minutes.

So, uh... I kind of didn't like it.
I may need to think on it more/see it again, but my first reaction is that it just didn't work for me.

Some issues I had with it:
-Tone is all over the place
-Cable is a big focus but he's... boring? Domino has WAY better comaraderie w/ Deadpool but is severely underused.
-Pop-Culture references start to feel forced when they're every other line.

I will say, though, that I couldn't stop laughing when the X-Force died. That was gold. So glad he saved Peter :'-)

There are plenty if laughs in the movie, but it just doesn't come together in a satisfactory way. As of now, I far, FAR prefer the first movie.

Liked the first but thought this was very weak. Way too many recycled jokes and flat references. Just didn't get many laughs from me.

That was a fun watch. Liked it more than the first, mostly because of the extra comic/Marvel references. The credits scenes were amazing, any chance they were "canon"?

Definitely enjoyable! Shame they took out the baby Hitler credits scene but glad to see Peter back alive.

Rough CGI for Juggernaut though. Especially with the Colossus fight.

Just left, I'm really underwhelmed by it. The pacing was incredibly messy, a lot of the jokes didn't have time to breathe before they rush into the next one, the action was mostly shaky-cam and the frequent tone fluctuations between sincere and comedic felt really bizarre and didn't quite land.

Despite this, I had a load of laugh out loud moments (Peter's death, Ryan's death in the after credits and the X-Men Origins: Wolverine bit being the biggest) and I definitley want to see more of Brolin as Cable but you could really tell the rough production took a toll on this one.

This also deserves a nomination for the most obvious reshoot award. Cable has one charge left on his time traveler and instead of just traveling back to prevent Vanessa's death and stopping all of this from happening to begin with, he saves only Wade. Thank God for those reshoots though so we could unfridge her and reverse some of the X-Force carnage (which was hysterical by the way) in a post credits scene. Such an obvious response to the test screening criticism.
