IIRC you get supervised for a month if you arrive late (once?) at the company

The responsibility bar on every role is pretty high

Shameful Display!!

Honestly, if there is one thing I like about Japan is their efficiency and punctuality
The fact that this leads to incredibly high levels of stress among the populace is a different matter

It's over, period. Tsubaka Express lost their last ace, and that's the end of their punctual hopes and dreams.

It's not hyperbole, it's not fanboy drivel. It is LITERALLY it for trains. Japan has nothing left, nothing they can reveal tomorrow would fix the hole now created. There is no reason left for any one, hardcore or casual, to substantively invest in a train pass. Except if they want to arrive 20 seconds early. Which will also come to Osaka at some point.

The age of trains is done.

I had a discussion with my father, who speaks fluent Japanese and lived in Japan for four years about this. And we argued back and forth and we came to the conclusion that while it may not technically be racist, as it's an accurate portrayal of Japanese people's English accents, it's at least stereotypical and unfair. It stands to reason Japanese people will struggle with those sounds because of the way their language is structured.

Anyone feel free to correct me.

I don't miss being on the trains but I do miss how awesome the train system is in Japan.

Well you know... they're ALWAYS punctual and people who had missed the train by 25 seconds probably had to catch the next one... and be very late to work. So no I don't think this is hyperbole at all, they has been always punctual and a lot of jobs relied on this. I've heard they gotten notes from their transit to show the reason for their tardiness.
