My end game party was
Garrison, Alumon and Knolan. Alumon is very powerful once you get the right perks for him.
Kinda stinks about the codes also seemingly not being ready on time as well. You'd think that's the one thing they could get locked down.
Oh well. Not going to whine too much after waiting all this time already, and I suppose there's a chance they'll still have them in time to send tomorrow at some point.

Dang that sucks. Even $40 is a bit much as is imo. I'm interested, but at that price point for a late port I'm definitely going to hold off for now.
Yeah, holding off on this until a sale due to unjustifiably charging Switch owners $10 extra even for a digital copy. Looks cool though, will pick it up eventually. Hopefully by then the performance issues have been smoothed out with a patch.
I'm excited for this game, but I share the disappointment with the price tag. I want to support this kind of game on the Switch though, so I'll get it for that (even though I could get the PS4 version for half the price). I think developers need to be careful with pricing on Switch, they are taking advantage of the fact that Switch owners seem to be buyers, but at the same time I feel the bubble will burst.
It was supposed to be out today. Listed as the 15th on the eshop. It's currently 7:10 PM here and it's still not up.

This other indie game, Moonlighter, that im looking forward to is going to release late on the Switch also. Not that I want them to delay the rest of the releases, but its really hard to wait for it when I know the price will be cheaper on Steam or other places once it releases.
Dont mind the $40 price for Battle Chasers. Been wanting a game like this to play on the Switch in handheld mode. So its not that bad for me, but I would totally get the other versions if you plan on playing at home full time. Especially the pc version, since it seems to run pretty well on just about everything.

Should I read some background material before jumping in or will the game do a good job at explaining everything? I never consumed any Battle Chasers media before this game.

Very surprised that the e-shop still doesn't have it available, I'm checking it hourly at this point.
Managed to order it a few months back when Amazon had it for $25 (before they ran out of stock). It didn't get a delivery date until this morning, but it says it should be here tomorrow. It seems the physical copy was a bit tough to get, I wonder how small the print run is?

The Best Buy near my work has copies in stock for pickup and I'm having a hard time not ordering a copy. I really don't want to have to wait until the weekend (if I'm lucky) to get my backer physical copy.
To make matters worse, it's on sale on humble store right now for $20. Such a big price gap means I'm going to hold out. I'd get it on humble, but already have so many games on the PC that I'd never get to it there.

Waited for the eShop but got incredibly impatient, so I ordered online at Best Buy for local pick up. Excited. :)

I only got an email saying that backers wouldn't get the game on release which really pisses me off because I held on for the Switch digital version only for this. I hate it when this happens with KS game.
What's the combat depth like? I've been wanting a JRPG like on the switch for a while now and recently purchases Darkest Dugneon on impulse which I didn't like, party management was too complex.

Yeah I already downloaded the patch. The switch icon was updated, performance was still bad and loading times still long. Not sure what it was like prior to patch.
Same here. I haven't gotten any extra key, just the apology email about the codes being delayed.
That was at launch in October. Since I had selected Switch and it was coming months later, they offered me a free key of my choice from Xbox One, PC and PS4.
How was this possible? The actual Switch selection was not available on the site.
Is this something you emailed them about or that everyone got because I never got an extra key.
It absolutely was :) I changed my platform to Switch around 1 month or so before release, and paid an extra 10$ or so for the physical upgrade. I think it is still on there if you wanna check.
This was portable. It's not unplayable but I would prefer to wait until it's hopefully fixed

Amazon just charge me the game. I preordered it on July, so it's 27€ instead of 39€ :D Can't wait to play it.
I'm confused. One of the reviewers who posted in the previous BC Switch thread said that he only encountered one long battle load time while he was reviewing the game, and his video seemed to have good load times. Is there really that big of a difference when the game is played while docked?
Seeing this on sale on PSN for $15 is very tempting over the $40 price tag on switch with issues.

That's a shame regarding the undocked issues. Don't mind long load times, but if the frame rate and visuals are that bad it could be annoying and detrimental to sales.
Someone needs to ask JoeMad and Airship games on twitter if they are planning to address these issues with an update in the future. I'll ask when I get home from work later and see it for myself.
