Go ahead and meltdown. Its RealPlease, let's hope this is a fake. It'll be a terrible, terrible choice and a deathblow to the franchise. With F-Zero as their hand, this would be dumb. Please don't, Nintendo, simply don't.

You could release pong on switch right now and it'd do a million. Sales won't be an issue if it's marketed right lol
Whoah whoah
We aren't talking about the big questions
Is krystal in this game?
But that would just be rational.Ironically, if you said this game was developed by a different team they would be losing their minds. For some reason people think Retro making this is the end of the world; people think they should be doing something larger in scale.
To me. Retro making this almost guarantees the concept will be fully realized and amazing.
Plus they did a fine job with Mario Kart 7.
The only thing i don't understand how it's possible that they worked the past 4 years on what it may look like a low effort side project.
Starfox still has not found a genre it is totaly comfortable in
That's why it's a very Nintendo thing to doThrow me in with the F-Zero crowd. Everyone and their mother had that game on SNES, it's a good property to rebuild and is already established in the genre. When people think Starfox they don't think racing game like they do with F-Zero
They peaked on N64 and Nintendo has never figured out what do ever since.
Yeah, some of y'all are acting ridiculous
I love how Retro seems to be on a quest to constantly redefine the word "disappointment".
So this is the same source that brought this for the past 3 years

Miyamoto has pull at Nintendo. It don't matter who is in charge.I love the "blame Miyamoto" notion going on here. Koizumi and Takahashi are in charge of software now.
Some yes, but they have lost a lot of key staff even since the DK games yes.
So... typical ERA.
http://starfox.wikia.com/wiki/G-Zero_Grand_PrixFox was despondent. Star Wolf had taken from him everything that he loved. Falco's attempts to comfort his old friend were futile. Fox lived as one already dead, barely eating or sleeping. But then Falco had an idea that changed everything… Falco had a brainstorm: retire as pilots and engineer their Arwings into racing machines. They would enter the high-speed world of G-Zero Grand Prix racing! When Falco saw excitement return to his friend's face, relief coursed through him. Fox and Falco turned out to be a great G-Zero team. Winning race after race, they become household names across a countless number of planetary systems. Their days as part of Star Fox faded to a distant memory…The Curse of Pigma Ending
You're comparing direct words of a developer to a rumor from an inside source.
Tom!Glad someone quoted these. Miyamoto telling me about Pikmin 4 on multiple occasions is the perfect example of how games development changes over time.
lmaoI love how Retro seems to be on a quest to constantly redefine the word "disappointment".
Still hoping nintendo has some M rated game plans from one of their studios at some point. Retro seemed like a good fit to make a new Eternal Darkness or something that isn't the typical norm from nintendo to start branching out a bit.
She damn well better be as my main in an announced game that exists only as rumor.Whoah whoah

I could be wrong of course. Maybe ST2 just didn't sell well and Zelda did.Yet we can have tons of 2D platfomers all co-exist, but the second we have a second action/adventure game, one cannibalizes the other? Mario didn't kill Yoshi or DK or Kirby. Hell, we have a 3D Mario with Kirby-esque power "stealing" and yet we'll get more Kirby games
I don't get it. Why not make a Nintendo all star racing with a wider variety of characters and worlds instead of restricting the game to the star fox universe?
