NBC is picking up Brooklyn 99 for season 6

I forget the details, but due to regulations dating back to the '50s, US television networks tend not to own or produce the scripted content they air. Any show dropped by one network is fair game for any other willing to pay for it.

You shut your damned mouth. One of these shows is one of the most influential anime series of all time, the other is a crappy american sitcom with a bunch of unfunny SNL rejects.

Always have been, but it has definitely happened a lot more in recent years due to shows having potentially longer lives due to streaming and the like

What makes you think it is a good idea to come to a thread about a topic where people will celebrate a show they like getting renewed/picked up, a harmless show at that, and say "I don't like thing, I don't know how you guys can enjoy thing", what kind of discussion are you even looking for here?
His character improved immensely once they stopped having him be such a creep to Rosa.
I think this is a smart move by NBC. Pair B99 with the likes of Superstore and The Good Place and you have NBC's comedy block back again.
No one likes s weeaboo not even weeaboos likes themselves. Maybe go stick with 700 year old dragons and leave us go back to celebrating.
Their arc is so damn impressive and speaks so very real to life.
A lesser show would have eventually paired them together later for some arbitrary reason. This show has them becoming very good friends and a great comedic pair.
I don't think truly appreciate the writing on this show.
I always go back to the James Franco Roast when Bill Hader was Roast Adam. Shit that was comedy Gold. Im so glad it lasted 5 seasons.
Off the top of my head, Seinfeld, Curb, Arrested Development (S1/S2), Peep Show. Community had its moments too but it was inconsistent.

I didnt come here to compare the two. That would be the person who quoted my avatar.
Somebody asked if the show was any good. I offered an opinion. Somebody else didnt like my opinion and quoted my avatar. Im not sure why exactly. The two shows bare no resemblance.
It's fine if you don't like this show. But this is a thread that is obviously going to be filled with people happy about the renewal. My question is why did you feel the need to come into this thread and comment if you hate B99 so much?
Im not a weeb and Im certainly not overly fond of Japanese culture. Anyway enjoy your celebration while you can. Networks renewing cancelled sitcoms always ends well (see arrested development, community, futurama). Wouldnt surprise me if the show is even crappier when it comes back.
