Oh.

Good for iZombie, though! At least one thing I watch isn't dead.

Dammit, no Wayward Sisters? I was really looking forward to that.

But it's great iZombie was renewed. I wonder the renewal of this show, with the pick-up of Legacies, is what sealed Wayward Sisters fate. Would have preferred Wayward Sisters.

And I have a feeling they will try to launch Legacies without Candice King, which I think is a mistake. Even more reason I would have preferred Wayward Sisters. What a bloodbath day.

I remain somewhat optimistic that Gotham might survive for one more season.

The producers said Season 5 will be a reboot of the show. (Not that there was anything wrong with Season 4 -- quality wise, it's one of Gotham's best seasons)

Also, Season 5 would let the producers wrap the show up with Bruce finally becoming Batman and Gordon becoming commissioner.
Did the producers say what they mean by "reboot"? Will it be a new style for the show? New cast? Anything? To me it seems like they'll just continue on with what we've built up the past four seasons, so I'm just curious as to what they mean with a reboot.

I'm surprised For the People was renewed, I didn't think it's gotten such a hot start.
It's done terrible in the ratings but ABC needs it for their TGIT Shonda lineup because they cancelled Scandal and there needs to be a show to replace it in the lineup and all future Shonda shows are Netflix originals. That's my guess.

TGIT will be HTGAWM, Grey's Anatomy, Station 19 and For The People now.

I guess it because they're not getting any more Shonda shows so they're keeping them all even if nobody is watching. lol

I forgot it was even a Shonda show but even so it still seems surprising that it came back. I didn't think they'd want to hold on to her shows that tightly with how its been performing so far.

Well, congrats to them lol

I'm sorry, I am legitimately angry at the Wayward Sisters decision.

Not just from a fan standpoint but from a business standpoint. This is the easiest of surefire bets.

I don't even like Supernatural and even I could tell that show was a sure bet for the CW audience. Way moreso than something like Dynasty.

Charmed

After the tragic death of their mother, three sisters in a college town are stunned to discover they are witches. Soon this powerful threesome must stand together to fight the everyday and supernatural battles that all modern witches must face: from vanquishing powerful demons to toppling the patriarchy.

In the Dark

A flawed and irreverent blind woman is the only "witness" to the murder of her drug-dealing friend. After the police dismiss her story, she sets out with her dog, Pretzel, to find the killer while also managing her colorful dating life and the job she hates at the guide dog school owned by her overprotective parents.

Roswell, New Mexico

After reluctantly returning to her tourist-trap hometown of Roswell, New Mexico, the daughter of undocumented immigrants discovers a shocking truth about her teenage crush who is now a police officer: he's an alien who has kept his unearthly abilities hidden his entire life. She protects his secret as the two reconnect and begin to investigate his origins, but when a violent attack and long-standing government cover-up point to a greater alien presence on Earth, the politics of fear and hatred threaten to expose him and destroy their deepening romance.

All American

When a rising high school football player from South L.A. is recruited to play for Beverly Hills High, the wins, losses and struggles of two families from vastly different worlds — Crenshaw and Beverly Hills — begin to collide. Inspired by the life of pro football player Spencer Paysinger.

Legacies

Continuing the tradition of THE VAMPIRE DIARIES and THE ORIGINALS, the story of the next generation of supernatural beings at The Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted. Klaus Mikaelson's daughter, 17-year-old Hope Mikaelson; Alaric Saltzman's twins, Lizzie and Josie Saltzman; and other young adults come of age in the most unconventional way possible, nurtured to be their best selves…in spite of their worst impulses. Will these young witches, vampires and werewolves become the heroes they want to be — or the villains they were born to be?

Excited for the Roswell reboot, but that original cast was just special, going to be tough to even come close to that.

The big question is if For the People can get a third season in spite of Britt Robertson. :P

Charmed, Roswell, All American, In the Dark, Originals spinoff Legacies picked up

The Originals spinoff got picked up.

The CW has picked up five series: #Charmed, #Roswell, @GBerlanti's #AllAmerican, #InTheDark and #TheOriginals spinoff, now called #Legacies. Plus #iZombie renewed: http://bit.ly/2FNmBZE

ABC orders Marcia Clark's 'The Fix' http://bit.ly/2FKis8N
FUCKING YES!!!

I'm thrilled. None of my shows have been cancelled so far, and I got my most wanted show to happen in Legacies! I am not ready to let go of our Vampire Diaries universe, and this is it!

I will also back everyone who says Agents of Shield is fantastic. Like really, it's the best comic book show out there. Season 4 is the stuff of legends, it's incredible from start to finish. But Season 2 with the Inhumans stuff is incredibly strong too. I actually enjoyed all of S1 a lot, but found S3 to be uneven, and the current season has been kind of a slug, but probably with the strongest writing yet and some payoff for series early threads.

Same here, I really thought that was going to be picked up. And really liked the back door pilot, definitely had potential.

I could have dealt with the other losses today and yesterday, but losing Wayward Sisters hurt. Especially considering Legacies won't have the full cast that should be there. Matt Davis alone isn't enough to anchor the show, and he shouldn't be alone on the school.

So the cw social media account theory was mostly correct (5 out of 7) except it seems they decided last minute to renew iZombie instead of picking up Wayward Sisters or "The End of the World As We Know It" (TBD on that one)... That's gotta suck for Wayward Sisters if it was truly that close to getting ordered. But I'm stoked for iZombie being renewed.

I've seen you go on about Candice King, and she's a lovely actress who's character really improved through the TVD seasons, and I would love for her to stay on, but didn't another poster earlier say she wanted out too? Or was that only the rest of the cast wanting out? I mean, it seems like the writing is on the wall, that she's gonna exit the franchise (I haven't started The Originals S5 yet though, so can't say what she's up to). Legacies can be its own thing, and strong without Candice though.

Don't get me wrong, I love iZombie, but if that had a part to play in Wayward Sisters not being picked up, I would have preferred WS.

Honestly, not sure what she's said about wanting to be out or not. It's very possible, as she does have a young child. And I would understand that. My opinion is if she wanted out though, they shouldn't have even tried to pick up the show. Caroline made a point to re-open the school personally, with Alaric. Her children are going to this school, she should be there. Just doesn't make sense she wouldn't be there. The only other thing that would make sense is if they will kill her off in the final season of The Originals, which that is a crappy option, as well.

The renewal/cancellation cycle never gets easy. There has been many shows I felt taken to soon. First one I remember being really upset about was The Powers of Matthew Star. That was a long time ago.

Only time I've been seriously upset over a cancellation was Southland, that show was fucking brilliant.
